It’s late and I you will not believe me anyway, but everyone that actually knows anything about Airborne particle transmission has known this for months.

There are already numerous well known events where transmission patterns prove aerosols and spreading Covid much further out than 6 feet. 100s of top Scientists, engineers etc signed a letter saying that to WHO months ago.

Think of it like this, if you bust open a feather pillow they can travel on air currents and go everywhere. Virus particles can attach to micro water droplets and do same thing.

Any fool with a lick of common sense knew this was a nothingburger. Yet, there will be dipshits on here still trying to convince you that the Chinese Flu actually killed 150K+.

I think you've got it backwards. If fewer people get tested (like at the beginning), the positive test rate would be higher and the CFR would be higher. It's easier to "fear monger" with less data.

But if you've convinced yourself that everyone is out to fear monger anyway, it doesn't really matter what reality is. You will just connect any two dots and call others stupid for reasons.

Total deaths due to all causes, by year, weeks 1-32:

2014: 1,607,414
2015: 1,682,833
2016: 1,679,173
2017: 1,736,952
2018: 1,768,880
2019: 1,762,384
2020: 1,986,762

That is ignoring covid and all other specifics, that is strictly the total number of people that died in the US during the first 32 weeks of those years. So if you don't believe covid was the cause of the 200k+ deaths more than expected, what was?

Nothingburger or not, I have been and still am afraid of losing our liberties. It is scary how easily data can be manipulated and people will fall for it. What's worse is that certain people have far too much power, and are not going to hesitate to use it. This is a trial run, my friends. We ain't seen nothing yet.

I've been in the hospital since June 10, and I can't walk (I was in bed for three months and I finally got out of bed a few days ago but I couldn't bear any weight). I've heard them say that they could force me to stay in the hospital if I am "diagnosed" with COVID. I have not seen anyone other than a hospital worker since June 10, and I feel like a prisoner. I have another surgery scheduled for Thursday, and who knows how long I'll be here. They could chemically or physically restrain me (they physically restrained me for much of my time in ICU), and there's nothing I can do. Chances are very high that I will still be here at the election. I can't leave; how can I leave when I cannot have anyone stay with me? My situation is a microcosm of how this could be from a bigger picture. They take something away; then they take something else, and then something else, and eventually, you have nothing and you have no where to go. I am going to survive this, and I'll leave this place at some point, but it really does scare me on how much power certain people have and how helpless I have become (any other year, this isn't an issue). One thing I am happy about, is that I finally have my mind back (blessing and a curse in this situation). For those of you who have spent months in ICU, you know what I'm talking about. I might not be going to the polls after all. Still gonna vote.

Be considerate; use your brain, but also be aware of what's going on.

There is no doubt that there extra deaths caused by the virus. What I’m interested in seeing is this data in for 2021and 2022.

I anticipate we’ll see below average numbers those years with COVID effecting mainly short timers.

If the small particles that hang in the air past 6 feet are what spreads the virus and not the large droplets from sneezing or coughing, how is wearing a mask not helpful?

Collateral damage from the virus response and lockdowns most likely accounts for a large part of this excess and may even prove deadlier than the virus itself in the long run.
We’re at excess deaths related to heart attacks, strokes, diabetes, etc. due to avoidance of hospitals, reduced elective surgeries and less health screenings. Add in the 27,000 excess Alzheimer/Dementia deaths from isolation and altering of care and the overdoses/suicides from unemployment and pandemic related stress and there’s sure to be an excess.

overdoses/suicides

which is at least double in 2020.

that is an extra 50000 deaths by suicide and an extra 65000 or so overdose deaths

the exact numbers won't be available for a couple years, but it is well north of 100,000

I am really disappointed in our CDC.

I don’t feel like we have ever gotten the truth from them

If there is one glaring fault in trump’s administration, it is his CDC.

If you can smell smoke through the mask that your wearing, it doesn't filter COVID.

There's a 150k variation in your data between 2014 and 2018.

So tell me... What was the pandemic in 2018?

PS... Take notes of the number of deaths from violence and suicide during 2020 vs last year.

I know this is a small sample size, but here's the stats for East Baton Rouge Parish:

quote:

A message from Dr. Beau Clark:

2020 has been a devastating year for our community. To date, we have investigated 90 homicides, 175 overdoses, approximately 60 motor vehicle crash deaths, , approximately 2900 natural deaths and 30 suicides. That is more than 30 homicides, more than 100 overdoses, more than 10 motor vehicle crash deaths, more than 900 natural deaths (approximately 425 COVID and 500 more due to other natural causes) compared to this time last year. We have investigated 15 less deaths by suicide compared to this time last year. Our thoughts and prayers are with those that have lost love ones this year.

May God bless you and keep you safe.

Beau

By my math, there has been an increase in EBR of 1,025 dealth, and 425 of them are people with Covid. The shutdown is deadlier than the disease.

So a proper mask would protect you from getting those droplets in your mouth and nose. Eye protection would protect you from getting it in your eyes.

But I thought the mask were to protect you, not me

Cloth masks yes. KN95’s help both you and others. There are varying types of masks with different levels of protection. Some have interchangeable filters.

I’m not sure about this title.

If covid isn’t airborne it would make masks very useful. Masks are good at stopping large droplets. If it’s airborne in aerosols then a surgical mask is useless.

But I haven’t looked into exactly what they are saying, just taking your word that it’s not airborne.

This is what they are saying, or have been saying for months

Someone put out a draft to new guidelines saying it was possible that COVID could be airborne in aerosols, but they removed it.

The OP doesn't understand what he read.
