You taking any meds?

No, I weaned off them a couple of years ago during therapy, but I'm starting the search for a therapist that will see me in person again. I don't like the drugs, they change me.

Suicide is nothing about someone “acting like a pussy”. It’s quite devastating to everyone involved.

People are not supposed to be alone for even close to that long. We are social creatures.

I think most people value interaction with other people as well as healthy relationships, but maybe that’s just me.

As long as we gave a 95 year old an extra 10 minutes to live it is okay to ruin everyones lives

Democrats said so and they are very trustworthy

Well, people do need jobs so they can buy food and medicine. Losing one’s livelihood is kinda of a bummer.

My favorite is believing the CDC numbers on covid then acting like the CDC is unbelievable when they release this study.

Typical of the left for sure.

It’s pretty obvious depression, angst, nihilism, and anger are extremely high.

Happiness is pretty much absent from a lot of life right now

I mean this isn’t the only reason people are depressed by a long shot, but even this reason has roots in our evolutionary biology. We are social creatures and didn’t evolve to be in isolation.

It’s why people everywhere have basically created an underground party scene. There isn’t anything you can tell people that will force them to go into hiding for months and months on end.

Yeah it sucks. So recalibrate, think it through, and take a different course of action. There are other jobs, plus we gave people $1200/month to hold them over. They got a safety net. So instead of wallowing in pity, how about learning something new so you come out of this stronger? Or finding a new opportunity? Or focusing on family to help? Etc. Plenty of different actions to take. We all faced the same setback, people can recover.

Geez, I didn’t look at it that way. Everyone needs to just chin up and find new professions and be positive, like you.

Thanks for solving all these complex problems. What do you do for a living?

It has nothing to do with needing something or being weak minded. The constant doom and gloom, watching the economy crumble, and simple decisions like whether or not to send your child to school are now difficult. Routines are essential for people with depression and anxiety and many of those have been turned upside down. I've never met anyone with true anxiety and depression be triggered about not being able to go to a bar or go shopping. People are worried about their livelihoods and the health of their families.

I did a little day drinking early on but mostly just because it was an option. I wasn't depressed or anything.

Imagine how many 30-39 year olds that lost their jobs and watched their meager 401ks evaporate actually did it.
