They aren't making a data based case, so without that just telling us the delta strain is scary doesn't really justify their recent policy preferences.
There's more people that die of alzheimers in a day than covid as of right now, same is true of pneumonia, cancer, and heart disease.
In a lot of these big cities there are more people shot and killed than dying of covid by several multiples.
Why are we creating a crisis for the 7th leading cause of death? The answer is obvious... and it's not about science or health... it's political... pure unadulterated political hackery.

As for my thoughts on vaccination in general, my stance has always been related to freedom and that mandating vs recommending things are bad. People are ALWAYS resistant if they are FORCED to do something. Also people should be ENCOURAGED to ask questions and understand what they are doing for themselves or their kids. I think a one size fits all vaccination system is flawed bc everyone’s situation is different. I think it is what it is bc 1) many people like to just be told what to do instead of figuring things out 2) many people may never walk back into a Dr office again unless it is an emergency visit to the ER.

They are desperately losing control of the narrative. Covid is literally the only thing Biden is polling well on (which that in itself is kind of insane). Create a crisis and let him respond by doing nothing different, then solve the crisis. All they are doing is trying to keep him solvent thru mid terms.

It's not incompetence, it's willful criminality at this point. They're literally dissuading people from taking ivermectin, hydroxycloiquine, and vitamins. The faces that give talking points may be incompetent idiots, but the people giving orders know what they're doing.

This is just my theory, but the government rarely does anything effectively so I doubt there is some mass plan to confuse people about the vaccine, they don't really need a plan for that.
I understand information is constantly changing and because of that, there needs to be a plan on how the information will be communicated. You had Faucci telling people one day that there is no need to wear mask because they don't work... Then a few days later he is telling people to wear mask and then he gets caught up in his instant celebrity status and he is old as frick...
Then you had Trump telling people "Its going to be over in April (2020)" and no one was getting on the same page in Washington. It just became a shite show from the beginning...

The cdc reviews data from hospitals, doctor offices. old folks homes, state agencies, coroners, and such, along with the sources they consider trustworthy (Published papers by AMA, etc.) and then try to post opinions after a committee review of the combined data base.
They do ok, most of the time. Covid and the population response (morbidity and mortality) to the latest mutations of the virus, make their job really shitty. Honestly, they are doing the best job anyone could be expected to do.
The biggest problem they have are reports from the news media experts (Dr. OZ type folks), and internet experts (Anyone with a computer and a facebook account).
