Where are we supposed to find masks?
Good question, all I have is an old hockey mask, guess that will have to do.

A. We don't have enough
B. People won't wear them
C. They have to be be fit tested. I know some nurses that fail this test.
D. They are really only for people who have direct face to face contact with an infected person.
E. Nurses not only wear the masks but also gloves, goggles, and full body PPE. Nobody is going to do this in the general public.
F. You going to wear them all day then take them off to eat in a crowded restaurant or drink in a crowded bar? Defeats the purpose.
G. This is a push by Trump, on the CDC, to get people out and about by Easter. It's a horrible idea that will backfire so bad that we will have to shut the country down again for months just to catch back up.
H. If you want the country to shut back down again and risk cancelling football season then go right ahead and do this. Or we can keep hunkering down and get through this now.

Masks are nothing new. Found this local paper article from the Spanish flu day, in 1918.

Go out and buy one of the things that there's a massive shortage of right now. Sounds like a government recommendation

Yeah the problem of medical experts dictating policy by govt seems to forget that medical folks aren't always the most knowledgeable of ecomonics, and politicians messages are aimed at dumb people.

Folks in China wear masks all the time.

Fact?

That's because they're dirty heathens that don't have the common sense to not cover their cough. That and they live in a world of factory smog and second hand chain smokers.

Flattening the curve is about avoiding large groups of people and washing your hands if you touch a potentially contaminated surface before touching your face.

The truth is everyone is likely to become exposed to this virus at some point. That's a given. It's just a matter of not wiping out 15% of the senior citizens in a month vs a year.

These are also the same braniacs that believe in folk medicine enough where they eat bats and pangolins.

Not sure what you're saying...

No point in trying to get masks, plus leave them for the health care workers.

I have respirators that I use when painting/sanding; I'm gonna use them when I have to go out.
Can't bring this home.

The only countries that stopped the spread were ones that were on complete lockdown and those whom the entire country wore masks.

Meanwhile we are pulling ahead of the rest of the world
