She's an acquaintance. Haven't talked to her in a while, but per The Face Book, she seems to be doing well.
Story was Swaggart, Inc. ran her off b/c she was doing secular gigs on the side in violation of her contract with them. Talked to a couple of JSM musicians (1 retired, 1 current) who implied there was more to that story. Or, more generally, they said the "secular" music provision had never been enforced and a lot of them did gigs outside the church.
