Recently forced to take a Carnival Cruise against my will and never again. The amount of morbidly obese people was astounding. Also, hundreds of people on oxygen riding motorized scooters with no regard for anyone else. Food was less than mediocre and lines for everything. The ports were some of the most depressing places I’ve ever traveled. Belize and Rhoatan are true shite holes and didn’t seem very safe. Cozumel is just a tourist trap of a town with cheap junk for sale. Would have been better off with a weekend at any beach.

Pro tip: Avoid the “booze cruises” to the Caribbean and such on Carnival. The New England, Alaska and Mediterranean cruises are great, even with Carnival. Also, always choose self debarkation.
