I agree. Somebody at Progressive is getting a major kickback for being negligent and looking the other way.

should have said it just happened.

but otherwise you did say when it occurred and that was your deductible then.

It's your fault the you are a moron. How do you not know your own deductibles and timing? Learn how to play the game better.

The insurance company is right. You are wrong. End of story.

They truly are the reason it's so expensive to insure our cars in Louisiana and the reason that there are so many uninsured motorists on the roads.
They aren't the reason insurance is expensive. The main reason is people who don't have insurance not being able to pay for someone else's repairs and that forces the insurance company who wasn't at fault to pay more claims than they should.

In Florida the legal minimum coverage required is 10/20/10. You can actually be legal with just having 10K in Property Damage and Personal Injury Protection. In an car accident, 10K is going to cover much as far as damage is concerned. We can thank the state legislature for that.

Underinsured drivers is almost a larger problem than uninsured. If you total a someone else's vehicle and it's valued at 35k but you have 10k in coverage, guess who ends up paying for the excess?

While I think auto-insurance, especially in Louisiana is a bit of a racket, I don't think your situation is a good example.

First of all, you change your deductible from $500 to $100 then decide to get your windshield replace, which you tell them it has been cracked since October.

Why would you even do that? That just looks like you changed your deductible so you can get a new windshield for $100. But I have had 2 windshields replaced & I don't recall having to pay anything.

But I sure as hell wouldn't pay $500 for one.
