Anyone that feels the need to call someone out for not “being a man” over buying a car for their wife is likely the farthest thing from being a man.
Every 4-5 years and simply because the car is “out of warranty”?
Seems like a little mansplaining is due on the subject of overpurchasing depreciating assets and the apparent neglect of the reliable adage of buy low, sell high.

No. On the rare event I had to go in to the office, it's less than 10 miles one way. Biggest thing is shopping or visiting my father (only a few miles away). Any vacations we either flew or used my wife's car (2024 Subaru).
I bet there are weeks I drive 10 miles total.

Join a credit union. Better car loan rates.

We just got the wife a new Audi sq8. Best rates we could find were 5.49%. Ended up just writing a check for it instead of paying those ridiculous rates.

Bought a new 4Runner today. Rate 6.5% put $25k down. Note $450 ish.

The SQ7 is a beast. Awesome cars. Solid, comfortable, roomy, lovely to drive, very quick and it sounds like a speedboat.

I wish they would make a RSQ7. I really like the look of the 7 but wish it had the RS power.

Crazy BMW has SUVs making 600+HP. I'd be happy with a X6. Also would not own anything German out of warranty.

Just went looking today and 36 mos was 0.99% to 2.99% and 48/60 mos was 2.99% to 4.49%

my wife doesn’t want to have her car outside of warranty.
So the warranty expires and then you have to pay for it to be fixed. I guess she thinks that it will be cost effective to not have to pay for servicing the car over spending more money for a new car just so she can have her vehicle under warranty. Some peoples logic just doesn't make a whole lot of sense

I got 5.5 on a new ford truck earlier this week.

Why doesn't she search for the best rates? It's obvious she wears the pants in the relationship.

They’ve come down. When I ordered it they were in the upper 6’s.

Yeah they are fun to drive. The problem is they are expensive as shite to fix outside of warranty. It’s also makes it hard to go back to a normal HP one.

She pays the mortgage and all the bills for the house. I haven’t paid a mortgage or house bills in 14 years. I’ll gladly keep her in a car every 4 or 5 years
Are you and yellowfin related

Locally I’ve seen 5% on 72 months and 4.5 on 36-60.

If you're too weak to push good financial decisions for your *household* (including your wife and kids), then yes, you're a bitch. "The car is out of warranty" is a shitty excuse to constantly be in debt instead of putting more money into 529s, saving for a trip. saving for retirement, etc. But happy wife happy life is your mantra I'm sure. The worst part is that a lot of men let their wives spend as an excuse to blow too much on hunting leases, golf clubs, bourbon etc., as a way to avoid accountability.

You can do all of those things and still buy a new car
I’m a save for retirement but also live and enjoy some cool stuff. I may just have to work a little longer. I’d be bored as shite if all I did was drive 10 to 15 year old cars and save a ton of money.
