No it isn't. You try and kill a friend of mine and his wife right in front of me and our friends putting them in the hospital and then have the nerve to tell me to my face that you don't care? Frick that.

I'm not a violent person. I'm just saying had I seen that and that was my friends on the side of the road, the last thing I would think about would be the law.
While I DO NOT think we as citizens should take the law into our own hands, we do have a right to protect ourselves and family from people who wish to do us harm. That old man intended to hit and harm those people(In my view) and to me that is the same as if they fired a gun at them.
Not saying I would kill the man, or even beat him senseless, but I would at least throw a fist in his direction.

We don't live in this eye for an eye world. That is what 3rd world countries operate on. In civilized society, there is due process, and if necessary a jury of peers. People can get emotional and make assumptions that cause far more damage than if they had just calmly and with a clear head assessed everything in the beginning.

Understandable how/why you'd think that, but you still have to prove this in a court of law, and the evidence is pretty barren.

The car intentionally swerved into the folks on the bike. While the rider was passing in a no passing zone, the accident would not have happened if the driver of the car either stayed in his lane. Plus, car hits the bike, knocking them over. If they ran into the rear of his car, his rear end would be damaged and they would've gone over the handle bars rather than falling over in the side.

Would you not think about if he had actually done it on purpose? Would you ask him why he swerved? It doesn't sound like you'd do much talking, but hopefully I'm wrong.

I'm not in a club Darth. I ride with friends. Everything from Harleys, to Gold Wings, to sport bikes. I ride sport touring bikes mostly. On a Honda st1300 at the moment.

Maybe his depth perception is bad or misjudged the speed at which the bike was traveling...I just can't say with 100% certainty that his intention was to hit the bike...I don't see how anyone can make this conclusion. I can see how some will think he did and some won't...I can't say with 100% certainty that he was trying to scare them or just be a dick.

I'd say his intentions were pretty clear when the first words when the guy told him he hit that motorcycle was "I know" followed by repeatedly saying "I don't care".

I lost my best friend on a bike. My thoughts on the subject may not be as rational as my other thoughts on everyday life.
I have had dark thoughts about the subject and it made it worse that I know the person who caused the wreck and where he lived. It took great restraint not to pay him a visit.
Even though I know my friend's speed contributed to his death. It's easy to arm chair quarterback and say that we would never resort to violence.
I do know though, had I witnessed this accident and the person on the bike was my friend or family I would not of hesitated to hit him after he said his first "I don't care" .
Maybe some of you wouldn't. Maybe some are the type that would only pull out a gun in the face of adversity. Maybe others expect the police or someone else to deal out justice. I just know that in this case, that old man deserved an arse beating, and I do hop he dies in a cell for this.
That is all.
