Oprah Winfrey will lead a conversation with black thought leaders, activists and artists next week called “OWN Spotlight: Where Do We Go From Here?,” Variety reports. The two-night special will air on the host’s OWN channel on June 9 and 10 at 9 p.m. ET and will also be simulcast across the network’s parent company Discovery’s 18 other networks.

“I’ve been having private conversations with friends and thought leaders about what’s next and where we go from here,” Winfrey said in a statement via Variety. “I thought it would be both of interest and service to bring their ideas, concerns and comments into a national spotlight.”

Politician Stacey Abrams, journalist Charles M. Blow, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, filmmaker Ava DuVernay, professor and author Jennifer Eberhardt, journalist and founder of the “1619 Project” Nikole Hannah-Jones, historian and author Ibram Kendi, actor David Oyelowo, Color of Change founder Rashad Robinson and NAACP national board member Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II are among the guests who will participate in the conversation.

Didn't want to have any right wing "black thought leaders" on the show?

Candice Owen maybe?

I look forward to hearing Greta Thunberg's opinion on race relations in the US.

Results of Town Hall:

1. We need to have a conversation
2. Something has to change
3. Orange man bad
4. Vote democrat (like you have for 70 years)
5. Transfer money from people who work to people who don't work

did you see/hear the promo for it? Oprah asks:

"where do we go from here?"

"what are our demands?"

Bitch, you don't get to have any demands. Go home, quit tearing shite up, raise your kids to be better citizens, better educated, and quit shooting each other as a means of conflict resolution. Try that for a couple of generations, then get back to us on your list of grievances.

it’s copy and pasted in every “message” from that side in every media format. 0 room for independent thought or interpretation of what’s going on in this country.
