I knew Alabama had turned a corner when The Economist, in an article from 2006, compared poverty in Puerto Rico to the poorest US states and used this list "poor states such as Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and West Virginia."
I have a lot of East Coast and West Coast friends who still don't believe that AL can be a nice place to live but that's fine with me too, they can keep their politics in their home states.

There isn’t a metro area in Texas as well run as Huntsville-Madison.
Zero progressive madness.
Zero Islamic cities.
Explosive growth.
Very low crime.
Dallas? Lost to the mob.
Houston? Lost to the mob.
San Antonio? No
Austin? Portland with BBQ.

Why send Canada the money when you can buy an equally great American product? I get mine from Upstate New York near Cooperstown.

I would speculate there are more cities like this in TX than there are named cities in all of AL.
I love the state of Alabama, but let's be reasonable.

I’d still raise my family in Texas before I would Bama.

I would take either one. Bama is great. If I ever left TX, I'd probably skip right over my home state and land in AL.

ditto.
There’s not a state in the South I wouldn’t live in before living in Canada

Fairhope is already being colonized by well-to-do Yankees that try to impose their will on the natives. Its the same script everywhere they go. frick up their home state, flee to yours, then immediately try to remake it in their image.

There isn't a state in the union I wouldn't choose over that frozen shithole. It's basically a worse MN if you can imagine it.
God bless America
That said, I'll be in Whistler next month to mooch off their fresh pow pow.

Of the size of Huntsville/Madison with that growth and low crime?
Suburbs maybe but not metro areas.
I left out outstanding schools.

No probably not. But if that area is 600k and there are a dozen very similar cities in TX at 350-400k, I'm not sure what the distinction is.

Seriously! Y’all gotta keep your mouths shut. Otherwise, we’re gonna end up like Nashville or ATL.
We gotta keep them mfr’s out of Alabama.
