Hint: it is a couple from a sitcom that started in the 70's. The actor and actress are both currently in their 90s

Has to be William Daniels (Mr. Feeney) and Bonnie Bartlett on St. Elsewhere.

ETA: both an IRL couple and a fictional couple.

Oh shite, I didn't know about them. That is pretty incredible actually.

I will amend my original question to "sitcom couple"

They did get married on the show. But my guess is the OP is talking about where the characters are the focus. Ron had really left the show. Richie was in the Army and shipped off to Greenland.

Hal Linden and Barbara Barrie from Barney Miller. Although you don't really see her after the first season.

I will drop a hint...since Kotter was mentioned, the answer to the original question comes from a show that aired on the same night and network as Kotter.

We have a winner.

They both have turned 95 this year.

She actually was credited in episodes from 1975-1978

I'll stay with Hall and Barbara. Both 95. Barney Miller was on ABC as was Kotter.

You are right--you posted your response right before I put the hint.

Now I wonder who would be 2nd on the list. The Cosby couple at 89 and 80 would be a good start I think
