Didn't Jindal do this already? How much waste is there now? Is the government just 100% waste? Do you just replace it all with contractors? I am pretty sure contractors cost money too.

yeah balancing the budget is relatively easy once you don't have to account for corruption

I know this is below Nakamota's pay grade, but maybe Brittany Weiss can send this to every State Legislator and entice them to fill it out. If I can balance the budget, how come our elected officials can't. I want to see my congresswoman's score so I know whether she should be re-elected.

Not enough spending to cut. This is going to require a Louisiana Constitutional Amendment or several.

Raise tobacco tax
Raise gas tax
Lower corporate tax
Eliminate movie subsidy
Had enough in the budget to say yes to all the spending items in the second section except funding prisons, funding TOPS, and revenue sharing with local governments plus 2% surplus.
Much easier than fixing the federal budget.

I would dominate that budget.
Might want to check with every other state government that's done this...

Good luck on raising cig stamps again.

Sure. Why not? I'd prefer we add more state jobs though. That way more money is brought into the state.

Raised cig tax, cut movie credits, 1cent sales tax, and fully funded TOPS. 3.7% surplus. 1cent sales tax is on everybody not just us working people that fund everything else. I think I could have lowered income tax and still had a small surplus.
But everyone is right. Until we change the constitution we can't get rid of all the bullshite that bleeds this state dry.

Is it me or are the only options in the "spend" categories to increase spend?
Posted on 4/24/17 at 4:08 pm to The Johnny Lawrence
Did it again and only did the cig tax and gas tax and cut movie credits. Funded TOPS and road work and lowered corporate taxes to attract businesses. 2.5 % surplus.

Did anyone get rid of inspection stickers?

States that have done tried this have found 1% or less fail the drug test, it wont make any difference if we started testing

The Advocate has been on fire lately.

Contractors cost WAY more than bureaucrats.

That game was easy
