The only way massive road projects get done is if the Indian tribes financially back it.
The only way 75 got fixed was because the Choctaws ponied up big bucks. They want a nice clean road for all the DFW guys to come spend money at the casino.

DFW guys
They not only come in and take over the casinos they come and take over the colleges in OK also. Everyone you meet at OU seems to be from there. It’s dumb

This is my Oklahoma State Senator. Now find me a Texan with the balls to do the same:
quote:
The bill, written by Republican state Rep. Justin Humphrey, proposes that any person who “is of Hispanic descent living within the state of Oklahoma,” is a member of a gang and has been convicted of “gang-related offenses” would be deemed a terrorist. Humphrey has since apologized for zeroing in on Hispanic people and plans to change the language in the bill to "undocumented."

Oh don’t get me started on how Oklahoma politics are superior to Texas politics.

All I know is Broken Bow is the most overrated place in Oklahoma

My understanding is that many of the public universities in Texas are hard to get into, like they won’t even look at a kid coming out of high school who isn’t in the top 10% of their class, hence why so many dumbass Texas kids end up at OU, OKST, and LSU.
Not sure if that’s true, but it sure would make sense judging by how many trucks with damn Texas plates i see in Stillwater.

Automatic admission to A&M is top 10%
Automatic admission to UT is top 6%
I’m sure many kids get into a&m and choose to go out of state because they either get a scholarship or get the out of state tuition waived. I think Arkansas is a school that waives it for Tx kids. Not for sure on other surrounding state schools.
Kids also might avoid A&M due to the size. It’s too big. It’s also the same price or cheaper to send your kid to LSU/arkansas/Ole Miss out of state than it is to pay for A&M.

Both my nephews went to OU recently and both didn’t get In to A&M or UT. One was in the band and said almost every friend he knew was from DFW and they would always ride share
OU throws a ton of money at north Texas kids and offers many in state tuition.
When I was at church last spring they had youth Sunday most of the seniors were going to OU, Ok St or Arkansas.

I was on a large frac job many years ago that required horsepower from 4 states. The guys from Ok and Tx were bickering back and forth. It was all out of good humor. One of the guys from Ok said "That if it wasn't for Mexican whores and Oklahoma cowboys there would be no Texas." That shut up the guys from Tx for awhile.

If OU and Arkansas are in, then Oklahoma State also belongs in the SEC. That’s another discussion.

It’s just hard for people from Texas to accept that Oklahoma is superior in every meaningful way.
Oklahoman checking in.

Oklahoma sucks.
And they all want to live in Texas. As if we don't have enough crap flowing over the Southern and Eastern borders.

Living in Texas, I can agree our policy on pot is laughable. That said, I am not looking forward to the day of getting blasted with second hand skunk weed at every stop light.

None of us want to live here. We just end up here to exploit the economic opportunities. We’re here the same reason all of those volunteers came here many years ago.
It’s a place with no culture. It’s built on transplants
