Put in some new flower beds last fall and really wanting to get some flowers put in. But deep down I feel like I shouldnt get them given the circumstances.

I've got to go anyway though, cause I need to get some fire ant killer.

Three or four weeks into this mess, stuff like this is probably essential for a lot of people's sanity and mental well-being.

I say go get the plants.

My favorite nursery is OPEN and I went on Saturday. Stayed clear of everyone until it was time to pay. (How is a nursery essential?? That said, I"m glad it was open!)

I have to get stuff from Home Depot for work a few times a week and it is absolutely slammed with people buying plants. You won't be the only one I promise

If you want to honor the spirit of the stay at home order then you shouldn't go. If you want to say frick it idgaf what anyone says, muh freedoms, everyone else should quarantine. Then you should go (like most on this board)

They shut down Lowe's or "non essential shopping"? And what's essential to you may not be essential to me! What if my freezer or refrigerator died???

This shite isn't smallpox

There's no reason you can't go to Lowes, not breathe on anyone, not touch anything, use hand sanitizer, etc.

Just be responsible. I wouldn't go spend a lot of time in a crowded Lowes, but you won't even have to go inside

Not even a little bit. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

Lucky! My fave local spot has an amazing collection of chinoiserie and Delft blue pottery that I've been purchasing a few pieces of each weekend and I wanted more of that too!

I have already been to Lowes twice this past week loading up on garden supplies. Only strange thing was they had the garden center locked from the side entrance, so you had to go in through the main doors and there was also a special spot set up in front for pick-ups of other supplies like lumber or whatever...
