Modern web capabilities make it extremely easy and cheap AF.

Its certainly doable, but its not just some layup low hanging fruit unlock. You have to build and maintain the infrastructure for storing/hosting images, again not super complicated but it is something else that needs to be done/maintained. Also, now you are responsible for these dumbass images posted here...forever. Every old thread with a missing image is proof that some service thought hosting images was a good idea and later failed. So, I can see why TD doesn't want to mess with it.
Google Pixel Fold is the name of the first one, Then Fold 2. Then I think they synced it up with the Pixel, so, like Google Pixel 10 Fold.
Resin printing is messy and just all around more involved/complicated than FDM. Sure it has its place, but the people who want a resin printer aren't the people who post generic 3D printer gift advice threads without any information about what they want to do with the printer. Those people want an A1 or P1S so they/their kids can print trinkets off Maker World.

I would NOT get a resin printer.

Bambu Lab is having a pretty killer sale right now. You can get the P1S for $399 or the A1 for $279.

I like the "Apple STILL doing it" here because this guy knows Apple has been caught doing shady shite in the past. Like from 2014 to December 2024 Siri spying case that very recently just settled. On top of selling their users to Google, as already mentioned, and remember when they got caught for their ongoing strategy of making old phones shitty to try to get it's users to buy new ones?

re: Damn. Nice sale on Pixels.

That may have been me, and I meant literally felt premium in the hand, but i understand that is totally subjective.

Has Apple ever lost or settled a complaint/suit against them for privacy related issues, or otherwise been found to be guilty of dishonest practices?

i think they are probably pretty even minus any exclusive games they may want to play. something to consider is if they have friends with consoles and what consoles they have. If thats a factor, would lean towards however that skews since it will probably make it easier for them to play with their friends..
I put one of these in my old truck, not sure if it was the brand you are talking about but they all looked the exact same at the time. It worked great for the few years i used it, but I would get the absolute highest claimed specs you can.

In the fall/winter (now) you can catch them up in Prien Lake. There is a nice launch there for a yak

Isreal LeFleur Park
1. Intracoastal Park at the foot of Ellender bridge
2. End of Devall Rd in Hackberry
3. Spicer Hughes Marina
4. Dugas Landing at the end of Joe Dugas Rd in Hackberry
5. Hog Island Gully and West Cove Boat Ramp, but I believe those are closed this time of year.
6. Calcasieu Point

Scrolling social media and posting selfies requires cutting edge tech. I read Apple is expecting a 25% boost in feed scrolling and selfie posting with their next gen SoC.

Just thought that at some point fundamentals & valuation would matter.
But it just trades on pixy dust and promises of "next year".

Yeah that toy box looks like a pretty terrible deal. $11 for a 1/2 lb proprietary roll of PLA is a major rip when the rest of the 3D printing world is paying like ~$15 for 2.2lbs of PLA. And you have to pay for the models?

Bambu A1 + MakerWorld free models + ~$15 for 2.2lbs PLA

Ok it would be mostly for box fans and sound machines at night for the kids.

You get free sound machine when running the fan, no additional power required.
I had to do something similar about 10 yrs ago to run a program to control my CNC mill bc it only ran on XP. I skipped the VM and just brought an old desktop out of retirement.

It feels like Hobie has been in a death spiral. The hull quality now is already super questionable. Not sure Bass Pro could even go lower. The only thing that has kept me in my PA 14 is the 180 kick up drive, which is the best in the marsh. Would love to get a better hull from Native or Old Towne, but feel like the prop drive would be super limiting in shallow water.

I'd probably go P1S if you can swing it. I think for functional parts where you are going to want to be using PETG/ASA/ABS you will get better results with the enclosure of the P1S. Core XY printers I think are also faster, more rigid and have less vibration. From what I have seen on FB marketplace the Bambu printers seem to hold their value well, so, with either model, theres that if you end up not liking it.

I have a good bit of CAD experience, but not with the standard modeling software that the 3d printers use.

The slicing is not a steep learning curve, if that is what you mean. Bambu has it dialed in pretty good out of the box. If you have 3D modeling CAD experience, that carries over directly. You can model in whatever software you are already comfortable with. Then you slice that model in the Bambu slicer and hit print.

But put that measly $6 in your 401k and compound the interest for 60 years. At typical rates of return (7%), it would be worth roughly $300k at maturity. At a 10% rate of return, it's well over $1 million. That's something.

Sure, but I'm sure even you "waste" more than $312/yr on something.
You just need to know what you want to run. Look on the device for peak and running power. Add it all up and make sure to get one that can provide max watts and have the capacity you need. Maybe add in a 20-30% buffer over the required amount. Ex. You want to run your 100W TV for 5hrs you would need a capacity of 500Wh or ~40Ah. If you also have a smoker that has a startup draw of 300W you want to make sure you can handle that short surge as well.
