I remember reading an article about a town called Whiteclay, Nebraska. It is a border town on the SD/NE border, and the Pine Ridge Reservation is on the SD side. This town of just a few people would sell millions of dollars of alcohol in a year because of everyone coming over from the reservation where alcohol is illegal.

Pine Ridge is/was the poorest area in the country. I think it was about 90% unemployed, 70% alcoholics, and absurd suicide rates as of a few years ago. Whiteclay only existed to sell alcohol to the natives, and those few general stores lost their liquor licenses a year or two ago. Now the natives drive another 20 miles down the road to next towns for booze.

Beautiful part of the country up there, but locals pretty well know to stay away from the reservation. Unfortunately you have plenty of tourists making their way to Mt Rushmore and the Badlands that want to see a reservation and end up getting robbed or conned.

That’s insane! I’ve seen reports on Viceland about a few Native Reservations getting in on the legal weed industry. You’d think they’d go that route with things being that bad, but I know it takes a good bit of money to even get started.

Native Americans in northern AZ, and NM especially have built nice cities, small but nice. They have invested heavily in infrastructure, have nice hospitals, among other things. A lot depends on the chief of the tribe. The Navajo live pretty well, while across the hwy, the Hopi struggle. The government wants native Americans to open casinos, to be self sustaining. A lot of N/A’s also do tourist tours and activities.

I used to live near a tribe and the ones I know get an obscene amount of money from a casino starting at a young age and therefore don’t have the drive to do shite themselves. They just get wasted and buy expensive stuff.

“African Americans” and “Native Americans” can bitch all they want about the white man and past issues, but they are both better off in the long run regardless of what they may say. That’s a politically incorrect fact for you.

This man at White River was visiting the trading post when he saw a dog lying in the corner.

All of a sudden the dog started licking his dick.
“I wish I could do that,” he says.

One of the local Apaches says, “You better pet him first.”

“Have you ever had a Cherokee seven-course dinner?” said Andy.

“What’s that?” asked Two Moons.

“A six pack and a possum,” Andy replied
