Pit bull owners should be charged with the crimes these animals commit. They are well known to have dangerous propensities. This woman should be charged with neglect, at a minimum. If pit bull owners were responsible for the acts of their animal she would also be charged with battery and attempted murder.

It’s too bad she didn’t drag them outside and set them ablaze after the incident.

Help us out with some logical reasoning. What % chance of a previously non-violent pit bull attacking for the first time is an acceptable risk? Are there any pit bulls that can be guaranteed never to bite that first time? When plenty of other breeds exist to scratch that pet ownership itch, why should pit bulls continue to exist?

I don't care how "sweet" they are, why do people own anything that has the capacity to do such damage to another person or pet?

A Kangal?

"Get along well with youngsters...a breed capable of killing wolves...

Yeah, right.

So she's half way there.

Bet you $500 they don't do anything about the other one though.

I’m fine with an adult owning a pit bull but they’re not safe around little kids

The dog breed that is bred to attack and kill and responsible for the vast majority of attacks of humans is the most dangerous dog regardless of how good you perceive yours to be.

They shouldn’t. Owners should face strict liability

Because they live in shitholes that have politically normalized crime and having a gun in the nightstand, bars on the window and a pitbull in the front yard is a way to deter becoming a victim.

Any owner should face jail time + fines if their dog, regardless of breed, kills any human being. That might open a few eyes.

The mom should have stabbed herself too for allowing pit bulls around her baby.

It's a good thing that Ms. Morales is so quick and good with the knife!

I love my dogs, but if one of my dogs attacked and mauled my child, I would not "feel really bad."

That entire breed needs to be eradicated from the face of the Earth.

there is simply no reason to own a pit bull when there are so many other breeds available. To go out and get a pit bull shows you are of low level intelligence and complete trash

Some people adopt dogs of an indeterminate breed and find out to their misfortune that it is the Breed Of Peace.

My MIL did this when they adopted what they thought was described as a boxer mix that showed more signs of being a pit as it aged.

The dog died in an accident before it could reach its full potential and maul my kids.

Homeowner policies often have restrictions written in about coverage if you have certain breeds on the premises.

Most of them are pits or other large dogs which can frick you up.
