If I'm a retail store of any kind in Cali, I'm moving every last location out of any woke cities and out of the state if possible.

I agree. I hate how we have to have a law for everything.
If a worker doesn't want to do it, just don't fricking do it. No employer in Cali is going to take the chance of sending an employee after someone stealing, unless they're retarded. That's how you get these idiots to sue you.

And then they will complain that no one will open for business in the state.
Ah leftists.
Ah leftists.

If you're a store employee, why the hell would you want to stop it anyway? $15/hr isn't worth something happening to you.
Guess it depends on how far this bill goes. Obviously, a store employee should not be chasing down a shoplifter (or running them over with their car), but would this bill preclude that minimum wage employee from actually saying something to the shoplifter? I have seen a number of shop lifting attempts stopped just from the clerk/cashier yelling at the kids asking what they're doing. Kids drop whatever they tried to pocket, and bolt out of the door. Would this now be illegal if this legislation passes?

I believe under this law, you can't say anything to them.
they can walk in, walk out and never deal with the consequences of their action.
California realized minorities commit most of the crime and are desperately trying to empty the prisons.

not illegal to steal
illegal to prevent stealing

Non commie Asian societies are the best place in the world to live right now. Personally I’d pick Japan.
The thing with Asians is that they don’t tolerate BS. The are generally quiet and calm. But go to steal from them and see what happens.

They’re also by in large extremely respectable and respectful. They put out the best entertainment by in large in video games and movies/tv right now too. I’d move to Japan if I could.

This was my first thought as well. It would deem security and loss prevention staff useless.

Effectively this would eliminate security guard jobs. Comical.

Workman's comp concerns are always a thing with these companies.
But its also litigation. Which, again, is why the law is unnecessary. Companies are already telling employees not to do this.

That would be a step too far, for any reasonable person.

They have any West Marines in Kalifornia? I could use a shopping cart full of stuff for the boat.
