I’ve always heard a word that sounds like “pie eyed,” but I don’t know how to spell it.
How do you say drunk in Cajun?
Let’s just say it’s relevant in describing yesterday.

"pie eyed" is a phrase that means very drunk, but it's English...maybe you've just heard it being pronounced with a Cajun accent?

Ivre, soùl, and bourré are the popular french terms for drunk.
The old Cajuns use "Je suis soùl"

I think you might be thinking of “pee-layed”. It is used like the phrase “wiped out”.

You’re thinking of Piyad, pronounced pie yad, not sure of spelling or origin, may be just a Cajun way of saying pie eyed. In southeast Louisiana casser’d is more common, pronounced cos sayed, means broken in French, so basically tore up. In southwest Louisiana you get piyad or souler’d, pronounced sou layed, which is the actual French word for drunk

Only in NOLA would we have a Business College for over 100 years named for being pie-eyed.
