I worked with a guy who supposedly did this. He worked 40 hours each week as a prep cook yet still was getting HUNDREDS in food stamps. His gf apparently would get PISSED if he couldn't sell a certain amount each month.

The buyer here is more trashy. The seller already maxed out on trashy just by getting on food stamps to begin with

Usually people who do these kinds of transactions know each other...neighbors, acquaintances or even relatives. I don’t think it’s typical for people to sell cards to strangers.

The buyer takes the card to the store gets the set amount of groceries then give the card back to the seller.

Stores buy it. Say the person has 400 on their card and need cash. The owner of said store may say ill give you 200 cash to swipe your card for the full amount of 400.

I would happily pay half price for groceries. Im paying for the EBT anyway.
Since they went to cards its not as easy anymore. I had a guy in a grocery store ask me to buy him a 6 pack of Natty Light and he would buy me some meat. I said no problem. I went get 2 ribeyes, and he went buy them. We traded outside the store. Yes its fricked up and illegal but I got 2 ribeyes for less than the price of one. Im switching to Geico everytime.

Very few people in this country actually need food stamps. What they need is to stop spending all their money on BS they don’t need
