If I were the owner of Bucee's I would not build a dog house in Louisiana .

Buccees must be opening about 7 stores in Louisiana in 2024. Wow.

They're going to build one right by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's house on False River.

Not always. That being said, I'd recommend location out in Crowley.

Site needs to be west of 49. Too many people divert south to head down the Bayou or on to NOLA to bypass Baton Rouge.

cheap but tasty bbq sandwiches,

I want to say, last time I looped in, the regular sized brisket sandwich was approaching $9 for gas station level brisket. I get it, it's a good clean stop, but cheap sandwiches are no longer true. (But it's not cheap anywhere anymore I suppose)

You aren't going to find a bbq sandwich much cheaper but yeah I wouldn't call it "cheap"

That would be awesome and a huge boost to the local communities. If you've never been to one, it's worth the visit. Unlike any other convenient store you will ever come across. And it's extremely clean and the management team apparently makes major bank!

I approve. No real quality gas/lunch stops between Lake Charles and New Orleans except for the Love’s with a Bojangles in Duson.

The food in the truckstop restaurant across the street(Rascals) is damn good. Stop in on Thursdays for the best fried chicken around, be early or else you'll be waiting for a table.

Baytown location is in the middle of suburban sprawl.

If they could build at the Whiskey Bay exit it would be a $1B location just from people going in when the bridge is shut down

Would put a real damper on dead body disposal.

Bucees at the Scott exit would be the first ever to shut down operations. Best food exit in America and that's indisputable.

Peto’s was nice when it first opened but seems to have gone downhill

There’s a newer gas station in Lacassine, Henry’s (opened in 2020) between Lake Charles and Lafayette. It’s always clean and has good selection of food and drinks for a gas station. No Bucees but it does the job

Petos has gone to crap over the last few years. Like you said it was nice when it first opened but has gotten pretty bad lately.

Isn't that the hood in Lafayette? Breaux Bridge right along I-10 would be a better location.
