Gas station with a very overpriced “deli” and candy store inside.

Why did they back out of Millerville? Didn't the flood scare them off?

They claim Louisiana's politicians ran them off but it was probably a combo of that and the flood.

I had this attitude before I began my addiction with Baytown Buc-ees every few months when I go to Houston.

Just go and you’ll know. Mainly for me its the restroom cleanliness. Besides hotel lobby banjos its the best deal when traveling.

The Beaver sticker will be a fixture above the #30 Bryxtyn sticker for the foreseeable future.

It wasn't a very good location to begin with, and the flood didn't help.

I still think the area between the Lobdell exit and the bridge is a great place to put one. Let people stop and fill up / get a drink / pee either right before or right after dealing with bridge traffic.

True, but it's just a gas station.

It's like saying "Texas Roadhouse is the best of the chain steakhouses"

The busy bee station you speak of is a cheap rip off of a Buc-ees.

It's not though. You're trivializing it by putting it in the same vein as a convenience store.

It's the size of a grocery store and is the best place to stop on a road trip. It's like in between a nice truck stop and a grocery store. Their bathrooms are cleaner than most people's houses so that's nice too.

It's a perfectly fine store - I've been there several times. But it's almost a direct rip-off of a Buc-ees, smaller too. But that's the idea, yes.

huge clean bathrooms, a shite ton of gas pumps, decent food options, lots of cashiers and they are fast, and a good area for your traveling dog to relieve itself...no other "gas station" can match it.

The initial report was fake news. Bucees was looking around and the Business Report caught wind of it and ran with it. Any talks were never as far along as it was reported.

I personally like them because they are extremely clean. Having to go the bathroom on road trips is awful, some of the restrooms you walk into are so disgusting.

The one in Baytown has a bbq area and most of them have little delis with homemade potato salad and things like that. It's just a nice welcomed break from typical McDonald's or other fast food chains when road tripping.

Plus, they have all kinds of knick knacks and different candies, homemade jerky, etc. Overall just a more pleasurable experience then stopping in a run down nasty gas station.

It is kind of like a bigger, better version than all the new Race Tracs they are doing in BR. I'll stop at those all day, every day over the other places in town.

Whatever. Guess I won't get the appeal unless I visit one.

Fwiw, everyone sucking this place off sounds just like the NE douchebags with their WaWa
