Anybody know what was up with Baton Rouge traffic around 5PM? It took me and hour to go what usually takes 10 minutes.

Nah...this was different. Haven't seen it this bad since right after Katrina.

Lights were out all over the place. But at least they were synced!

Baton Rouge traffic literally stresses me out and I’m from Houston. Traffic here is so terrible

Saw multiple ambulances and fire trucks with lights on around Perkins/Bluebonnet intersection. Guessing something with that.

I heard there was a fatality, either a pedestrian or as the result of a collision.

Airline was shutdown just east of Pecue after a dump truck took out a power line. My mom was passing under the power line when it fell. Could have been me.

Siegen/Highland/Perkins caught the rick or shay.

Oh but it is. Of course its heavy traffic, but Houston is ten times the size of BR so traffic is expected. But at least it moves. There are multiple available routes to try. Multiple loops and countless side streets to try. BR is just so hopeless. You’re just stuck with nowhere to go. Every road is snarled by traffic lights and there is no loop.

I'm not the blue dot...

I had to drive through the neighborhoods to get home.

I left Alexander's (Blue Bayou) at 4:54pm and got home at 5:50pm.

Had I stayed on Perkins/Highland/Siegen...I might be still stuck in traffic.

There was a wreck on Highland at Highland Rd Park. I tried going Siegen to Perkins instead, but that was a disaster. Ended up going through St Gabriel/Bayou Paul to get to Prairieville.

My power was out for a few hours because of it. Had to shut down Airline for the repair.

I was going eastbound on highland right around then and there was a dude in a truck just stalled out with his flashers on in the westbound lane.. just past highland road park.
