One of the defense's paid experts is an attention whore.

quote:

One of the experts who worked on Mr. Kohberger’s defense team has taken particular issue with the plea arrangement and the evidence. Brent Turvey, a forensic scientist who analyzed the crime scene for the defense, argued that the crime was committed by multiple perpetrators, criticized how investigators documented evidence and questioned why more testing was not done of a hair found with one of the victims.

The lawyers who served as Mr. Kohberger’s defense team have rebuked Mr. Turvey, telling The Idaho Statesman that he “is now speaking about topics that are still confidential, many of which are outside of his areas of expertise.” The lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday. Mr. Turvey’s concerns were included in a book about the case, “Broken Plea.”

This why the dumbass, hippie DA should have made BK detail the murders as part of his guilty plea instead of just saying “Yes.”

He’s doing this for the show and the drama and the headlines

The families want questions answered. Make him say who he actually chose to murder and why he chose her? Had he been to the house before, etc..

It’s either Kaylee or Maddie because Xana and Ethan were down stairs.

You’re correct. All the documentaries have been shot, time rolls on, and he’s not in the national spotlight anymore.

Also, I read awhile back that he absolutely hates being in prison. A trial would get him out of jail and in the spotlight again-just what he wants.

That Idaho murder was one of the most horrific stories I’ve ever seen. Can you imagine being asleep and some random guy comes in your room and knifes you to death for no reason.

Didn't he try picking up Maddie at the restaurant she worked at?

They should absolutely let him take it back so he can be convicted and executed.

Agreed. I know some of the families were pissed he got the plea deal.

It’s all been unverified reports, speculation, and theories from what I’ve read up on. Nothing concrete.

I once represented a serial killer. I got her a very good plea deal.

The colloquy between she and the judge during the hearing to enter her plea (to multiple charges) lasted about 90 minutes. Probably the most stressful 90 minutes of my life.

She was 100% certain of what she was doing and why she was doing it.

Within 24 hours of her entering her plea, she had drafted her own motion to withdraw her plea, based upon a variety of inane arguments. Unfortunately, due to confidentiality requirements, I could not comment on any of her inane arguments.

Her Motion to Withdraw was denied, and she was eventually sentenced. Following sentencing, she filed her own appeal(s), based upon more inane arguments, none of which I could respond to. Fortunately, all of her appeals were denied.

This occurred 24 years ago. She is now out.

There have been 3 documentaries made about her case and at least 2 podcasts and 2 books. I have refused to participate in all of them.

However, it does not stop the media from continuing to contact me about the case. I was contacted by a podcaster LAST WEEK to participate in a new podcast that is supposed to be completed in the next few months.

I point this out because I can only imagine what people are telling Kohberger, and those in his orbit, to try to induce this sort of behavior ... in addition to his own misguided motivations.

Kohberger might be doing all of this on his own, without any influence other than his delusional thoughts, but never underestimate the media's ability to influence bad behavior in order to keep someone "famous" solely for the benefit of generating content.

in other words he probably realized it might be better to be put to death then to have to live the rest of his life in prison

Agreed. The autopsies and blurred out crime scene photos alone tell of a brutal night. The male friend who first saw inside Xana’s room is a hero for not allowing the other girls to see Bryan’s carnage. I imagine he’s scarred for life though.
