Lee was only 165 pounds while this lineman would be 340. That’s a massive size difference.

Lee would get crushed, literally and figuratively.

do you have any ability, or are you just some try hard, glorified fitness type that the military and law enforcement are full of?

so tired of govt employees talking about fighting. like you guys actually train to fight. gimmee a frickin break.

someone can train until theyre blue in the face, but at some point need something like size, speed, power, etc to go with the training to really be any good at anything.

Years ago I saw a fight on Chimes Street between a 250 pound Marine and a tall, skinny karate dude. At first the martial artist was all over the Marine, kicking at him and throwing a few punches that connected with little damage. The Marine blocked a kick and threw the karate kid off balance, stepped into him, then laid the karate kid out cold with one punch. The Marine looked at him on the ground and said, "Them little mfers are fast but they can't take a punch" and walked away

You’d think so.

Go find the video of an early UFC bout between Keith Hackney (5’11” 200 pound kempo karate expert) and Emmanuel Yarborough (6’7” 600 pound sumo wrestler).

Hackney beat the living frick out of Yarborough, bringing him to his knees with a palm strike then punching the hell out of his head.

The downside to the win was that Hackney broke his hand on Yarborough’s head and was done for the night.

I would argue 100 pounds, assuming some sort of fitness and not just pure fat, is a pretty significant gap to bridge. I got to do some full contact with a girl who was a Pan Am Games champion TKD fighter and I easily handled her. Her "skill level" was way, way beyond mine but I just quickly closed and overwhelmed her. Our weight difference was probably 70 pounds.

I think you still beat on a guy 70 pounds less than you, but the guy pound for pound is stronger...
I sparred around with 2 state-champion wrestlers both about 80 pounds less than me, and after some compromising holds was eventually able to smother them...not without some twists.

Hey, here is an experiment... name Bruce Lee’s most impressive REAL fight.

Go ahead.

Name his best win.

Assume the lineman is 6-7, 340 and is wearing a cup so he can't be kicked in the nuts. He's at least a foot taller with at least a foot reach advantage. Is he so big that he shrugs off anything Bruce can do?

Bruce Lee would've been a phenomenal pass rusher at OLB in a 3-4 defense.

With his quickness, hand speed and martial arts skill he'd shed lineman at will. Especially some slow 340 pound mother. Think Pat Swilling on Benzedrine, Lawrence Taylor on both coke and meth. That's what we're talking about here. He'd make lineman look silly.

No but I know some dudes that the government has spent a lot of time and money training to fight. So your sentence is pretty laughable. If you are talking about a local police officer who got two days of fight training in an academy ten years ago that is one thing but there are plenty of people in LE and MIL who regularly train for armed and unarmed combat.

Roll on over to Ft. Bragg or Quantico and try some of that on for size.

They also taught us to use a Shift key. Comes in handy.

Does Bruce Lee have a gun? If not, he is dead.

Martial arts movies have done an incredible job brainwashing people into believing that little Chinese men can tap into magical martial arts mysticism and beat up anyone with ease.

Get that nonsense out of your heads. It’s not real.

For reference, see the Tyson vs Lee threads.

It's comical.

Small space and bare hands my money is on the lineman.

Open space with using any weapon then I’ll say lee
