Accost my daughter like that and we will be talking about a PERMANENT leave.

Also how shitty are the real reporters in BR? Kiran is handing them a story and they won't touch it.
BR proper is a very insular, political city. There are a handful of powerful groups who work together. That's how the Council on Aging fiasco happens without anyone in power caring. That's a public slush fund for one group that included a judge who presided over a case with the CEO (I forget if the judge eventually recused herself).
The media doesn't do its job because they will be blackballed from everything. LSU is the same way. You play ball 100% or you are persona non grata. The whole reason Kiran was fired from her "real job" was because she pissed off people in power.

This is extremely common among the left these days.
There are people from establishment media that want to push government to force YouTube personalities to get an FCC license in order to comment on the latest happenings in the world.
So, we'll just keep seeing the government keep arbitrarily deciding who's allowed to ask them questions.

Baton Rouge is barreling down the path to becoming a large scale version of Selma, AL. Selma was a nice enough place to live 30 years ago, now it’s a third world country. The downslide visibly started when a democrat beat the 20+ year mayor incumbent. A democrat has been in office ever since, and white people got the frick out by the thousands

what gives the chief of police the authority to decide who is approved to ask him questions. This is like a communist country. How are people not upset about this?

This was my thought as well. I’m sure she has some sort of “media credentials” and that’s all that matters. He’s a public servant, not a king.

MR. JACKMAN: When you talk about rewriting policies, one of the policies that was rewritten after Alton Sterling's death was to emphasize de-escalation and reducing use of force. Chokeholds were banned. Firing into vehicles unless there was an imminent threat was banned. Have you seen an impact from that? What's been the effect of changing that policy?
CHIEF PAUL: Yeah, sure. Our procedure justice training has been implemented where we focus on those four tenets of voice, fairness, transparency, and police encounters. We have probably--our body camera program, when you look at our body camera program, it exceeds Department of Justice recommendations.

It’s shitty when you consider the circumstances that led to Kiran being “freelance” in the first place, but I don’t know if there’s much anybody can do about it. There’s no legal obligation (as far as I’m aware) for public figures to accept interview requests or provide comments for stories.
They still have to respond to public records requests and they can’t stop her from running stories. If anything it makes her look better because she gave BRPD an opportunity to defend themselves and they didn’t even try.

I SO miss BTR.
I haven't lived there since AutoYes Clown was still on tv.

What changed on it?
At least remastering it didn’t make it worse like GTA3.

Ironically, I believe Kiran was asked to leave WAFB because she was doing stories like this and it pissed of Broome to the point where she called the station and told them that if they don't get rid of her for doing her job, then her office wouldn't give WAFB the access to her affairs like they currently had. Of course, much like every other "news" outlet in the country these days, they folded because they have zero integrity (it also helps that they're all democrats there so helping out a fellow democrat is a pretty easy call).

frick him and that whole god damn department. Police chasing pussy while on the job is nothing new (especially when on night duty), I am glad to see the girl wasn't intimidated enough to not do anything (which is the case for a lot of women this happens to), but why is he being paid and getting a $500 a month supplemental pay?
If he has a daughter, I hope some police officer tries the same thing to her.

I had a similar incident happen with my son's girlfriend. She was driving in from Austin and had a flat tire about a mile from our house. She tried calling but my phone was accidentally on silent so she called the state police. They sent a trooper and he started asking her all sorts of personal questions and said she was his type, even after she told him she was in serious relationship -- their twins were even asleep in their carseats in the back. He went on to tell her how he was separated and his soon-to-be ex-wife was giving him problems, while continuously telling her how "pretty" and "hot" she was. She got his name and badge number and reported him but never received a response.
