SHITTY SHITTY MAYOR.
She represents the new Democratic party on the local level, which is framed by the racial national party instead of non-racial tax and spend policies from the Holden administration.

I honestly think it's the most pathetic and beta sentiment out there. Ruffled feelings because a group that has been historically (perhaps present ally)discriminated again isn't going to put up with shite anymore?
That some cuck shite.
Get over yourself and you'll accomplish a lot
It's not that. If people don't hold the same views as the people protesting then they go after peoples livleyhoods and attempt to destroy that person.
The same can't be said about the ones causing all the disturbances because they don't give a frick and literally have nothing at all to lose.
Can't fight that.

good chance of being indicted
Are we suggesting we shouldn't be indicting people for criminal behavior? Or that grand juries indict people they shouldn't? Or are you suggesting there's no way to be effective as an LEO without breaking a few rules?
The rest of your statement is fine, but the math simply doesn't support the quotes.
Not in the least. I am referring to the current climate where BLM et al. consistently suggest that the proper outcome for any shooting is immediate arrest, indictment and trial in lieu of a proper investigation and prosecutorial decision. You consistently hear them screaming for arrest and trial to figure things out. That is damn scary if they view that as how the legal system should work. A trial on serious charges is a life altering event, especially financially, and I certainly wouldn't want a career in an industry where that happening as a result of my job duties is highly likely.

Honestly the whole prosecutorial discretion thing desperately needs to get reformed, as well as the grand jury process. It's way too easy to grind a political ax while targeting certain people (see Baltimore and Ms Mosby), or on the other side of the spectrum throw a grand jury case because of a backroom deal the DA made with shady LEO not to charge them after a bad shoot.
I'm no longer sure that the DA should be in charge of who to prosecute. IMHO that should go to a judge to decide. There's far less of a conflict of interest or at least potential for abuse.

I mean... That's exactly how the real world works. How many people are arrested every year and then brought to trial to investigate what actually happened? "Let the courts figure it out" is a phrase I have often heard from many LEO. It's fricked up, but if it's that way it should be fricked up for everyone.

Couple of things...
1)Prosecution of police is still very low compared to other professions, well below average.
2)I'm not sure I am ok with anyone being above the law. That breeds problems like you see with BLM, etc, in addition to the general populace. Imagine for a second if the two corrupt marshals hadn't been charged after killing the 6 year old kid in Marksville after a fraudulent warrant application...

BRPD will continue to decline while State Police gets the best and brightest. Good pay, higher qualifications, and a brutally tough academy breeds the best departments. That's why, generally, you don't hear about troopers committing wrong doing and they are seen as a step above their peers. Broome is going to run BR into the ground.

Social capitalism --- being a racist sack of shite doesn't pay off anymore. Bad for business and bad publicity. Doesn't bother me a bit of a trashy person is ecposed for trashiness. Be better

She already has a running start at it with less than a year on the job.
Combine that with JBE fricking the state economy and we are in for a long 4+ years.

This is how the real trouble starts. Now they will lower standards and take people they would have screened out previously. Those people will become the "bad apples" that will cause problems down the road. Reference NOPD in the 90's.

The problem with this comes with the gatekeepers who decide what is racist because the overall criteria is subjective to say the least.
These idiots believe that any white not sufficiently signaling privilege and deference to minorities is racist.

The problem is that everything is racial injustice. And trust me, everyone will get out when they've had enough but take a guess who they'll blame when they have the city to themselves and it becomes a giant toilet bowl.

Why would anyone want to be a cop in br right now?
Folks with very little job prospects. I'm sure the applicant pool was mostly shite.
They use to turn away hundreds of applicants and now they only get 40. Bad situation.

They can always raise the pay or offer sizable incentives for associates, bachelors and master degrees. Actually they should do both. You have to be competitive with state police.

I remember when my friends applied to the BRPD it was hard back in the day. If you did not know someone, have prior experience, or do well on the test good luck. That is back in the day when they had the black uniforms that looked like the LAPD unform.

I think those numbers speak for itself.
Something will happen, as a result of this, and the same people who complain about the police and how they do their job, will be blaming whatever happens, on the police, because things were worse than what it should have been, if the police were able to provide more resources.
The people who get behind these community leaders need to realize those community leaders are not out for their best interest, they are out there for their own personal gain.

Just send all the cops to the good part of town where they can interact with the community like a police department should.

So if you're a cop in BR, your ability to survive is hindered by hesitation from fear of public, race-baited backlash even if the shoot was justified.
Much better alternative is to not be a cop in BR.

There are still plenty of people willing to be police officers. There's a subreddit full of thousands of people trying to become cops but cannot because the applicants for their desired departments are better.
People still want to be cops, but it has to be worth their while, and any largely minority southern city will be a shithole that isn't worth their time. BRPD doesn't have any applicants because it's a shithole with shite residents and shite pay. The Troopers don't seem to be having any issues getting people to sign up.
