Not enough officers left to maintain the solvency of the dept. The remaining people will be absorbed into the EBR Sheriff's dept.

The last thing that a major city's police force in Louisiana needs is an awards banquet. What they really need are massive overhauls.

More likely? A bunch of people who were set to be honored are getting sued for civil rights violations in federal court.

This. I could see them shutting it down if they found out their intended Office of the Year was just now found out to be a regular user of the "Brave Cave", involved in extortion, etc.
