i left when the game ended. Made it home to Central in exactly 30 minutes. BRPD rocks.

I always sit in seat for about 5-10 min at end of big game. Then make way to gate. We live but a few miles from campus but we stopped at B-Quik and still got home during halftime of Utah-ASU game.

I spent more time in traffic in the 90s than now by finding myself a nifty super secret game plan. There are many, so I don't get how people get buttfricked and butthurt so easily.

I've always wondered how closing roads helps traffic move faster. Really pisses me off when I have to drive 30 miles out of my way to get home on game days when I live less than 5 miles from work.

It's not about you, it's about the rest of the city who didn't go to the game having the ability to get around without dealing with gameday traffic.

Which, btw, if you actually lived in Baton Rouge, you'd be able to do.

Burbank is now the best way to get out now. They have made that the priority road to handle the load.

Last night we were leaving lot 409, crossing over Nicholson to get on Burbank. All of a sudden, a BRPD dumbass walks out in the middle of the road and puts an orange cone in the road. I had my window down, and could hear him bitching about being out there. He suddenly realized "not a good idea" when he saw 100's of cars in the lane he wanted to block. So he picked the cone up, threw it, and started blowing his whistle and angrily waving his arm to us to go. As if we were the problem. It was like watching a kid throw a temper tantrum and act illogically on pure emotion.

That, folks, is who we have directing traffic. That is why it is so bad. It's not so much the amount of people as much as it is our chickenshit Barney Fife police department is not mentally competent to handle a big event.

I've been parking in the Ag Lot for years. Last night we walked to our car after the game, pulled out onto South Stadium, and headed out just like we always do. But just as we started winding around the lakes, it all just came to a dead stop. And it took almost 45 minutes to get from there down to Perkins. I didn't realize they were stopping I-10 E, I just finally realized that was the bottleneck so I hung a right and went home Perkins. That was easily the worst traffic on Acadian I can remember after many years.

Did we ever get a definitive answer about why I-10E was closed?

Unless the wreck shuts down the interstate, blocking the ramps makes no sense whatsoever.

Either way, my eyes and the Waze app both saw traffic rolling on I10 when I was forced to pass up the Acadian ramp.

take a chance. likely the cop would not leave and follow you if his orders are to block the road. J/S.

How is it that NOPD gets traffic flowing out from the CBD after a Saints game like shite through a goose? I understand not as many people, but still. It's still close to at least 75% the amount of people.

Big game so figured after game ended it would be 90 minutes before we left lot 305 (CEBA). Had a beverage, listened to post game. Would rather sit and tailgate some more than wait in traffic. We leave on Burbank and it was fine.

For the McNeese game, they had a cop stationed to direct an intersection with heavy pedestrian traffic. Basically, he was there to stop cars every so often for people to walk across.

We were standing behind him waiting when he turned around and asked us what we were waiting for, and then said if we are trying to cross, we have to gun it when we see a big enough opening because he's not stopping cars.

WTF are you here for?

Has BRPD commented on why the ramp @ Acadian east bound was closed? That really makes no sense

You live in crescent condos and DRIVE?

Good god man. You could hire a rickshaw for every game with your parking pass money.

to be fair there are four entrances to the interstate near the dome, and many arteries away from the Dome. I would not give NOPD the props, they frick up Galvez and Poydras every game.
