Rural Tangipahoa Parish is a fairly small place, so of course pop star Britney Spears knew Gov. John Bel Edwards, which may be why she reached out to him in 2019 after allegedly being forced into a mental health facility.
Edwards acknowledged that he was the one Spears was attempting to contact in a text seeking his phone number. “The Spears and Edwards families have known each other for decades,” said Eric Holl, Edwards’ deputy chief of staff.
The governor never connected with nor heard from Britney in the wake of March 2019 text message exchanges with her friend Jansen Fitzgerald.

He sent a helicopter and a police escort for her sister and mom to the hospital when her niece was in that accident. Her mom also supported that pos for his election campaign by giving away tickets to Britney’s Vegas show if they donated to his campaign.

I actually feel bad for her. I know someone from Kentwood (he hasn't lived there since his early 20s) and he knows her family and he said her dad used to be all juiced up (steroids) at one point and that he was a huge dick. He didn't mention any experiences with him, it might have just been something that was a rumor.. But either way, she obviously has mental issues and if anything, I think her dad did nothing at all to help her situation.
