This has to be fake.
If this was real... and this broad could "raise 30K in donations", why didn't the mom or family or whatever just pay for the wedding... like many parents pay for their child's wedding?
I've never, ever heard of people giving money to the bride as "donations" for a wedding. Is this some new trend?
Also... how is there a honeymoon before a wedding?

I just read all the comments in the link
After reading the part about going to after hours & missing work & taking medical expenses out of the money I figure it has to be fake
Or she is completely clueless & a horrible person

Not sure if it’s a new trend, but I’ve been to several weddings where they had a house or honeymoon fund you could donate to in lieu of gifts/registry. Honestly doesn’t seem that odd to me.

If the first part didn't tip you off, this second part is definitely a give away this isn't real

Donations as a wedding gift =/= donations to fund a wedding.

That's fair enough... I mean a lot of people give cash as a wedding gift... so that's the same to me.
In NOLA, there is the "traditional" money dance at receptions and the idea is the money raised during the dance is used to spoil the couple on their honeymoon.
But that's as a gift for... getting married. Not paying for the wedding itself.
