The fact that people have been killed recently by loose dogs doesn't quite penetrate that dense skull of yours huh?
I carry a gun while walking my dog not out of concern for some thugs wandering my neighborhood, I carry because too many shitheads own dogs they don't adequately control.

I understand. And if my dogs are out, I’m out. Mine are never out without me. Large dogs and I don’t want trouble. I had a dog disappear years ago and never could find how he got out. Thankfully got him back a week later after after dropping off fliers at all area vets.

If we euthanize the bad owners, then it improves the gene pool? Also, most pit bull breeds are adept at getting rid of populations of rats. So, if cats are cool for getting rid of pests, then pits can protect us from getting the plague. They also keep coyotes away and have been known to kill them. So, that’s three benefits right there.

I don’t even have one. I have a malinois and a yellow lab. I just think it’s fricked up to poison or shoot someone else’s dog and feel like that’s the position I’ve kept this whole time. In fact I’ve never debated that they’re not problematic. I’m very aware of it but have also met plenty of good dogs with good owners.
Here’s a link of studies and stats showing they’re an issue. Personally, I think people should have to pay for a permit for ownership. Again, I feel like it’s largely an owner issue and these animals are glorified for their violence and often encouraged.
