I keep saying this is painfully stupid. Just have a tailgate with no colors or letters and call it a day. There is absolutely nothing the university can say at that point because it’s not a “fraternity” tailgte then

And now, the people complaining about fights and trash on the parade grounds are going to be complaining about fights and trash next to their tailgate 
The whole purpose of kicking frats off of the parade grounds was to be able to sell off tailgating spots. No idea why Lofton canceled their security contract, because they definitely have enough people to provide security. I'm guessing the LSU Admin didn't want to pay their prices long term

Ok. So the university did NOT back down. This is not news.
Ok. Here’s how that goes:
“Hi. We’re X sorority/fraternity. We’re here to apply to tailgate.”
“Thank you for your application and patienc—aaaaand you’re denied.”

Either tailgate with no indication of greek affiliation, or find a place to tailgate off campus where these assholes can’t play games with you.

Not getting into the pro/anti Greeks arguments, but the Greeks of today are tomorrow's alums. And guess what group the administration hits the hardest on, aside from TAF, for money every year?For this quick of a change in policy, less than one week, seems obvious that the Greeks mite have talked to an atty or two or threatened Homecoming but Something happened, for sure.
