Never in my life have I seen so much trash and litter on the side of the road in BR. Where are the convicts and community service folks?

Anyone that drives Airline, Sherwood, Siegen, Jefferson, etc sees how bad the littering has gotten. You see everything....fast food bags, beer cans, whole trash bags of stuff, etc. For those that drive these parts regularly and have seen who the culprits are, what percentage would you put on who is responsible out of the following?:

In all seriousness, I don’t see this as much racial as I do just plain trashy, and usually pretty uneducated. The two usually go hand in hand. Ive witnessed blacks doing it, and whites doing it. In all cases I have personally beheld, they were eaten up with the trashy. Broke down vehicles, most certainly not dressed for success in any sense of the word, didn’t look like they had to be anywhere at any particular time, or had any goals they needed to accomplish.

This is the real pandemic in the Rough Rouge. It’s an ever growing number of humans that live like trash and spread their trash everywhere they go, like the Peanut character Pig-Pen. You try and avoid them, but they’re everywhere you turn. Like a pig in shite, they’re right at home in filth and squalor, so the fact that the city is dilapidated, the infrastructure in disrepair, and litter everywhere you look makes it home to them. They don’t even notice it.

I reall y don't understand the hate for people who live in mobile homes or the hate for Livingston Parish. About twenty-one years ago I lived in a mobile home while my house was getting built. I lived in the mobile home for a year. The mobile home was brand new and I really liked it. The kitchen was huge and had a large island. The people who lived in the park were very nice and didn't appear trashy at all. The park that I lived in was on Pete's Highway. The owner of the park had a wife that made sure that the rules were enforced. I liked the park and the trailer. When my house was finished I felt some what sad that I was leaving. I never had a bad experience living in that mobile home park. I think that I see the reason for the hate directed towards Livingston Parish. This parish doesn't have to put up with the crap that you have in Baton Rouge. The public schools are good and are ranked near the top in the state. You see people walking in their neighborhoods for exercise all hours of the day. Living here reminds me when I was growing up in Baton Rouge and it was a safe city. I'm grateful that we don't have to put up with the crap that BR has to with their politicians. Your mayor and her staff are all a joke and it seems that if you are a certain race then everything bad that happens is blamed on you. That crazy schoolboard member that is a woman really added fire to the mayors and her cronies agenda.

These lessons should be learned at home. Poor parenting.

Agree. Shitty parents (usually) lead to shitty kids. You have to be one trashy, self loathing, nasty fricker to litter.

I read somewhere that the biggest set of litterers are 15-19 year old males.

Have you ever taken a gander at blue bayous parking lot on a Monday morning? I know it’s not Seigen, but where do you think this trash comes from?

We need TO ENFORCE laws against littering.

fify

BTW, laws around here aren't enforced. Otherwise, we wouldn't have arseholes going 90 on I-10 and 12 weaving out of traffic like it's some video game.

The Effing Waste Disposal Company is by far the biggest litterer in the Parish and it's not even close. Shameful.

Just go look at I-110 from the Airport through 61 North at the dump site. It's the most preposterous littering there is and 99% comes from the trucks going to the dump.

I throw banana peels out my window but only on to grassy areas. Figure some bird or animal will eat it. Other than that I've never littered and don't understand how anyone could just hurl shite out their window.

The majority of litter that I see thrown out of vehicles are cigarette butts.

It used to be that smokers would empty their ashtrays at intersections. But they don't have ashtrays in the cars so the cigarettes go out whenever.

A good bit of trash comes from trash cans on windy days. People do not put the lid securely down when it goes to the curb or overfill. Over time this adds up. Truck beds are a culprit but also corporate dumpster. Take a look at the dumpsters in parking lots and how many do not have lids secured. Wind takes that trash too and deposits it elsewhere. Also the trash pick up companies going to the landfill are usually over filled and trash leaks out. Lastly people have trash laying around their yards that they do not pic up. wind and rain carries all of this to teh curb, and open fields.

The two biggest are:

Trashy blacks, they will just throw dirty diapers out their car window and throw their chicken bones on the ground next to the trash can.

And white men in pick up trucks. People dont realize how much trash flies out the back of these oil baws trucks.

A big frick you to these two groups of people.

Sometimes I exercise in the parking towers at ULL. The amount of trash in them is astonishing.

I thought most college students are 'woke' but I'm guessing if no one sees them litter, no harm was done.
