The good news? Last year we were rated 194th. Time to break out the champagne.

The bad news? In 2015 the year before Kip Holden left office we were rated 21st!!!!

I wonder what happened?

Could it be the flood?
Could it be the new Governor?
Could it be the new Mayor?
Could it be all of the above?

No surprise

Surprised to see Austin at number one. The sheer amount of property taxes ($1500-$2000 per month) on most homes is out of control.

Home prices up everywhere except Austin

That's the perfect spot to be in.

Not so high that you're in the top 100, getting on a bunch of yuppie radars. But not so low that you're in the bottom 10 or 20.

Just right there in that meaty portion of the bell curve. Solid C student.

Lafayette being near the bottom shows me this isn’t a serious list.

It all went downhill after I graduated and left in December of 2014. Significant fall since then.

Well it is a shite hole really..... The Urban influence is dominant and holds
the entire city back.

Why they gotta do Bossier dirty like that and group us in with Shreveport? Dead last

New Orleans at 199. Louisiana is killing it.

Wrong new Governor. lol
The one that took office in 2016, the one that pushed through the largest tax increase in state history, and the one that let criminals out of jail to meet some kind of quota.

This last has Gary, Indiana 6 spots under Chicago/Naperville. A city that has over 10,000 abandoned buildings/structures. Great list!

These frickers put Huntsville at #16. Stop it, just fricking stop it. It is a shithole not worth even being on the list. Don't listen to these clowns.

Good lord the CONSTANT bitching about this while simultaneously ignoring the lack of an income tax is ridiculous. Not to mention your numbers are way too high.
