The roads in Panama are better than Baton Rouge. If they would actually fix the entire road instead of just filling potholes , it would be a much needed improvement.

Florida and Acadian. Emailed DOTD and they are supposed to redo a stretch of Florida Blvd from North 22nd to Airline. Construction is suposed to start Q2 of 2026 so I guess we deal with the horrendous conditions until then.

Yea but did you see that shiny new sidewalk down Sherwood? Who needs smooth roads when you have that?

A couple of bucks for paint to mark turn lanes would help. A lot of people can't make a left without cutting the corner.

well, according to DOTD, repaving bluebonnet is somehow a higher priority

Odd since Bluebonnet is a City Road.

On that note, MoveBR (not DOTD) has a project on Florida in the area of Foster and US 190.

Until they finally fixed it, somewhat, if you ever crossed Florida from Oneal to get on the Thruway, while doing the speed limit, you would go airborne, or possibly disengage your front axel.

I drove through both of these intersections mentioned and y'all are both right.

Downright dangerous for your vehicle and safety driving through those at the speed limit.

than the one at Florida and S. Foster in terms of how beat up it is?

Highland at Gardere says hold my beer. That one is a fricking disaster.

That intersection has nothing and I mean NOTHING on Florida at Flannery and every intersection east of there all the way to Oneal.

Try and cross over Florida at Rushing or Ponderosa in anything but a lifted truck. There will be nothing left of it.

Did that once in a Ram 1500 work truck. Was going just a hair over Rhys speed limit and did a Dukes of Hazzard across Florida. Wasn’t my favorite moment.

Yeah, if someone not from around here was behind me, they were probably cussing me like a sailor because we've got a green light and here I am slowing down from 40 to 15 to cross that intersection. But once we proceeded across Florida, they then would realize that I just potentially saved their life, or at least their vehicle's shocks.
