Although they are also both growing.
Actually makes me wonder if EBR as a whole would be economically healthier if the road network was more developed on the far north end of the parish towards Central and Zachary.

True. There still a lot of space in the proposed St. George to increase the commercial tax base in the future. The spending power is there too.

Why? If sprawl must happen, it would seem beneficial to have it occur closer to the employment centers.

Many of the old guard planners had visions of transforming Baton Rouge into Louisiana's Austin.

Rolfe made his bed on this one. 12 months ago he ,BRAF and others sang her praises,touting her progressiveness and ability to unify the city post AS shooting, despite many concerns. From the moment the election ended she made poor decisions that further divided this city, slowed or stopped momentum in development or stifled the creation of her team. She still does not have a CAO or chief of police. She wanted a new chief from day one, but had no plan or preparation to move forward once the current chief resigned. She could've easily have called for a chief test with civil-service months before he resigned in order to obtain a list of qualified candidates. She refused to denounce COA actions and Silky Slim's actions until public pressure forced her to do so. It's a train wreck and will continue to be one of the next five years

I'd imagine that my family will white flight our asses out of BR at some point. I just hate dealing with the damn traffic.
