Then thursday will likely be back down in the 2900s. Question is, when does the steady decline start? My guess is mid to late next week

Grateful for information like this.

Can you share what bed availability looks like?

I feel like the mask mandates and restrictions only slow the progression of the virus. Then we open up and it gets intense again as expected. We just have to accept it and move on with life. Viruses don’t go away until they have burned thru the population.

They’ve screwed up the copy paste when making the numbers up. Same number from the day before - will correct soon to 1,080 when no one is looking

He’s going to credit the masks isn’t he?
Of course he is. It's hilarious that they timed the mandate pretty much right at the point of the peak, where cases were going to go down anyway. But now, they can claim to have some sort of victory

Baton Rouge General broke another record today with 195 COVID patients. Those patients are younger, more likely to be in their 30s, 40s and 50s than in previous waves. Interesting breakdown of what they’ve seen over the past weeks.

They should have implemented the mask mandate as soon as Delta cases increases started happening. They waited too long IMO.

This is fake news. Those demographics have been the main patients since vaccine started and the older people took it more seriously. See the consistency in the percentages for months:

So what we're seeing in Louisiana is really the story of two separate waves.

Cases in young people (the main driver) are beginning to plateau or fall in places that took off first (BR, Northshore and NOLA - LDH Regions 1, 2 & 9).

I was in Baton Rouge last weekend… After the so-called mask mandate had started… Hardly anyone was wearing masks. The mask mandate has nothing to do with this
