Grab a box of tissues before reading this story from Fort Worth

quote:

Children writing letters to Santa Claus is a treasured holiday tradition. Most ask for their favorite toys, or maybe something for the family, like a puppy.

But every now and then Santa gets a letter that would break anyone's heart. Such is the case of the letter sent to St. Nick by Blake, a 7-year-old boy living at SafeHaven, a shelter from domestic violence in Ft. Worth:

Where’s this kid’s dad? OT should do a meet and greet.

Yeah, totally preposterous that a 7 year old living in a shelter just before Christmas as a result of domestic violence would write a letter to Santa wishing for a good home life.

FYI I'm sure you're getting downvoted because people think your thread is about a border shelter and aren't bothering to read

ok, changed my mind. Fake story put out from the shelter to get money.

quote:

"We so appreciate everyone's concern over the safety of Blake and his family," the shelter assured the public. "Victim safety has been our priority for over 40 years, and we would never compromise that through a social media post or otherwise. Blake and his mom are safe! Thank you for your concern for his family."

This is horrible.

I guarantee you Blake's dad showed every red flag in the book indicating his propensity to be a piece of shite and Blake's mom still gladly spread her legs because she somehow justified his antics in some weird female way.

Now Blake is the one suffering.

Except now they just let Blake's dad know where they are.

Anyone who not only refuses to be a real father to their children and a good husband but actually terrorizes them and assaults them needs their arse beat so hard.

I can't think of a bigger and more pathetic failure of a man than that.

Whether or not you want to believe that this particular letter is true or not, there are thousands of children who are feeling the way this letter has been written.
Too many have grown up not appreciating the good fortunes that have been provided.
Honestly, I wish every adolescent had to live meal to meal and on the run, just for a short time, so they can learn that not everything is a given
