The 2 different dilly bars look similar, but I don’t know what the individual wrappers look like. Also, the regular ones have changed packaging a lot, so I don’t if the below is current. The mom did check wrapper afterwards and saw it contained dairy, so she missed it as well and may look similar to each other.
The last sentence at link is not something I would include as related. It’s not even recent as it happen in the 90s and didn’t happened in Canada making it completely weird to include it (at least the story thats linked to those words).

About five minutes after eating the dessert, the little boy went into anaphylaxis and had to be rushed to the hospital, where he fought for his life for two days before passing away. It comes after a separate horrifying incident in which a woman, 27, was gang raped, disemboweled and forced to carry her intestines in hands.

I wouldn’t take my kid to chain fast food spots with severe food allergies. Too much carelessness in those places!

My thoughts exactly. You are being served by kids that have no clue what they are doing.
Unfortunately I blame this on the parents of the deceased child. No way would I trust any kind of food from anyone other than myself or family member who’s been trained to know what my child is allergic to.

She probably did it on purpose to sue Dairy Queen

In the article... says she didn't check the wrapper until AFTER he reacted, and that she had to "drive to obtain his epinephrine auto-injector.
I have known families with children with severe allergies- they ALWAYS check labels, ALWAYS have an epi-pen.
Article also states the kid caught Covid... and they pulled the plug after 48hrs.
So much
in this story.

He could at least attempt to defend himself in that situation though

JFC this is an entirely new level of fricking retarded. Its so bad it makes me think she intentionally went there to kill the kid.

Universal healthcare for the win. It was probably deemed too expensive to continue medical care.
Socialized medicine is great for your primary care, for your everyday regular sicknesses and injuries, but if you are in dire straits the government will decide if you live or die.

I would never take that chance

I don’t want to blame the mom. But she has way too much trust in retarded Dairy Queen workers in giving her kids the right order.
Posted on 6/4/26 at 8:59 pm to NorthshoreTiger76
The parents are going to point their finger at Dairy Queen, sue them, and might win the lawsuit. But that mother is a stupid piece of shite. I hope the dad domestically violates her.
Edit: I’m being silly in my above comment, but it makes me thinks of that spoof of a caveman sticking his hand in fire and being confused why his hand hurts so bad. And then doing it again.

Can’t take anything for granted if you have a peanut allergy. Bought a frozen lemonade at a baseball game. Just happened to look at label while opening. Processed in plant with peanuts. Same with a lot of canned vegetables.

If my kid is allergic to bees, im not taking him to an apiary and kicking the hives

And yet, she is to blame. How is the fricktarded DQ worker supposed to know her kid is allergic to everything they sell?
And why didn't the mother double triple check? And have an epi-pen handy.
This mother killed her kid. I'd check for a life insurance policy

Sounds like mom set him up for the lawsuit
