I have a mutt that I’m 99% sure has majority border collie in her. She’s incredibly smart and dexterous - almost like a cat. Always funny to watch her get toys that get stuck under the sofa 
No clue what she’s mixed with. She looks like a BC, but is mostly white and her tail is docked. Makes me think someone bred her intentionally, not sure how she ended up on the side of the road in Zachary.

Have a border collie/catahoula mix. Beautiful dog and incredibly intelligent

My Border Collies snitches on the Aussie. If the Aussie is doing something she shouldn't, BC looks at me, then tips her head over in the direction of the Aussie.
One day, I hear a plate hit the floor (from the coffee table). Plate with some fajita nachos. As I run into the living room from the back of the house, I see the BC who looks at me and tips her head in the direction of the Aussie. She then wags her tail awaiting the punishment.
But, I pull up the cam: The BC was the food stealer.
They can be crafty.

Pretty sure my BC mix does that to my cocker spaniel but instead of for food it’s for accidents in the house. She snitches on him every time, but sometimes it’s her and he gets all the blame

I've owned and trained several. Absolutely fantastic animals. Highly intelligent, trainable, athletic. My favorite breed by far.

A friend does agility with Bernese Mountain Dogs. I'd like to see that.

I used to own Chesapeake’s but when they passed I didn’t want any more . The loss was like loosing a family member. My neighbor gave me a BC and I’ve never seen an animal do the things he could do. I know he knew the English language. We lost about a year ago to bladder cancer at 11yo . Almost killed us . My wife got us 2 Corgis and is looking for another. Very cool ?? also

I'm helping my mom raise a 2-year-old rescue Border Collie. We have to take him to obedience class so we can be smarter than him.

More than that, Chaser can identify a new toy that she has never seen before. When told to go get "Toby," for example, she will search through her toys until she finds the new toy. She deduces that the new toy is Toby. Incredible.
