Yeah they're insane. I have a boxer/border collie mutt. While she's not on that level, she runs just like that and has that exact stare from the beginning.

The focus of herding dogs when it comes to work is insane. Love that look Verb gets when its go time. My sheltie gets that same look when she knows we are doing certain things.

Wish mine would of been good for agility, but she doesn't like to be on top of things like the A frame or teeter.

They have no chill.

If you want to throw your shoulder out, throw a tennis ball to a border collie until it gets tired.

Border Collies are incredible. That was beautiful to watch

Here’s another one: this is a dog named Chaser. Chaser knows the names of 1,022 unique toys and will fetch each toy by its identifying name

I've always wanted a border collie, but I know I wouldn't be able to keep it busy and my yard is pretty small. Maybe some day; very beautiful and smart dogs for sure though.

I always thought that kind of focus was trained into a dog until I got a border collie from the pound and he had that same focus. In a damn dog from the pound. It was then I realized that these dogs are clearly above the others. Labs have that same focus when they duck hunt. They live for the retrieve.

I believe it. While I don't have 1,022 toys, mine knows all of hers by name, knows what each room is, the couch, chair, etc.

They absolutely dominate the sport in their height class, but what you don't see is the number that are never able to win because they cannot focus at all on a course. Imagine a dog running significantly faster than Verb and adding in running in circles between every obstacle. It is highly entertaining.

CSB: I train with a lady who runs a BC. She can stand in the center of the course and point or call out the obstacles and the dog will nail it at least 70-80% of the time.

I love Piper, my Border Collie. Swims like a fish (she swam around in the Red River flooding a few years ago). Great frisbee dog and can be very crafty. She tricks our Aussie Shepherd on a regular basis.

That's solid. Men can't piss in the center of a toilet 70-80% of the time

had a collie/shepard mix growing up and she was pure energy like that. amazing dog and smart AF.

i grew up on acreage and my dad had a workshop about a quarter of a mile back in our that had a well traveled path. she'd always follow us out there and if for some reason we got off the path for any length of time she'd come and nip my heels and herd me to the path.

Im telling you they are on another level.

Everyone says their dog is smart, but a Border Collie is on a completely different level of intelligence.

Its wild owning one.
