Nah, Clean can actually write about sports.

Drake just sits on the sidelined and lint-brushes his pants suit.

I help carpool the neighborhood middle school kids. They all thought it was awful. One of the teenage boys even said, "I like Kendrick, but it was bad."

Boomers raised Gen X.

Gen x grew up in the 80s-90s. We had 2pac , biggie, Lil Wayne master P, run dmc, beastie boys, public enemy, wu-tang, snoop, outkast, Nelly, NWA, Bone thugs N harmony, geto boys etc.

Just cause people get old doesn't mean they don't listen to rap. Or what used to be rap.

Just like in past years, I skipped the halftime show again this time. I don't care for the theatrics, and many of the performers. I utilized my time taking out the dogs, grabbing a snack, and listening to music that I want to listen to.

Exactly what I do every year since the halftime performers almost always don't appeal to me. Why watch something you know you won't like.

Seems like each year the Boomers love to puff their chest out on Monday after the Super Bowl and crow about how they didn't watch the game and/or have never heard of the halftime performer.

Gen X checking in…

I did watch the Super Bowl as I always do, I have never heard of the halftime performer, and thought his performance was terrible.

Why that matters to anyone or affects them in any appreciable way, I have no idea.

News flash Boomers- you aren't the target demographic for the halftime show.

I don't feel the need to broadcast it and don't care if I'm not the target audience.

I was the oldest guy at a party and was gauging the reaction of those around me. The black people knew who he was and were into it. The white people weren't very impressed and had a reaction similar to me: like WTF? I couldn't pick out more than two or three words and thought it was one song for most of it since the beat never seemed to change.

When it comes to music I usually find something to latch onto. In the case of a lot of rap the only thing I could hope to find redeeming is the beat and it just doesn't do much for me. When the lyrics I can pick out are degrading gangster shite, I'm a solid out on it. It's part of the cultural brain rot that has people pulling guns and feeling privledge to beat the shite out of people. frick 'em.

I'm Gen X and I was raised by Silent Gens, not fricking Boomers.

I also didn't listen to any of that rap stuff. Ever.

There was so much good music in the 80s with Iron Maiden, Metallica, AC/DC, etc that that's all we listened to. I grew up in the middle of nowhere rural Missouri. We didn't know anything about culcha or culcha music.

It's truly amazing how people don't understand what generations are and how they work.

People today talking about "generations" are really talking about cohorts within generations, not actual generations.

People saying "I couldn't tell where one song ended another one started!" then mentioning fricking AC/DC is hilarious. 4/4 drum beat and pentatonic scale: the band

It has zero to do with one song started and ended. I'm not sure what youre talking about because that's not why I didn't listen to rap. No one listened to that stuff where I grew up.

We all thought rap was something that only ghetto urbanites listened to back when and where I grew up.
