I mean, could he have gotten his message across a little more energy? To not have some of the No Limit guys show up is crazy. I've read about all the symbolism that was in the performance, and fully understand what the "point" was from that performance. My deal is... this is the Super Bowl, entertain me.

Best news I've heard in awhile:

A boomer hits the deck every 14 seconds. There were 85 million of them down to 50 million.

Seems like each year the Boomers love to puff their chest out on Monday after the Super Bowl and crow about how they didn't watch the game and/or have never heard of the halftime performer. I've noticed this more and more over the last several years whether it is on TD, at the workplace, or the predictable cringy posts on Facebook, people 55+ love to make sure they tell everyone what they DON'T watch.
What about the people who always post about others who they group together into being boomers without knowing shite about them??

A much more limited and trashier demographic was targeted.

From diabetes, yes

But that’s not what you asked, clown

What’s your point here? Stop trying to be so cryptic or setting up a ‘gotcha’ and just say it

It’s sad Trump is deporting all these hardworking Mexicans that want to be here when we have white dudes that listen to rap music

I’ve seen more posts on FB complaining about alleged “boomers” hating on the halftime show than actual posts by boomers hating on it.

In a music rich city like NOLA, that half time show was a joke, and I'm not a boomer. The preshow with all of the NOLA musicians was great. If you want to have rap, fine. Louisiana has a lot of rappers, both new school and old school. Let them shine. Not whatever that was yesterday.

I don't particularly like rap and as a result I don't like Kendrick. I also recognize I might not be the target. I also recognize I can't distinguish what is good and what isn't good in terms of rap.

What I've deduced over the years is that people think Kendrick is smarter than the average rapper and his writing is more interesting/intelligent/etc. Most of the people I've seen go on and on about this aren't black, they're younger white guys who are a little more progressive/urban/etc. Progressive white people in the South love to swim upstream on mainstream southern culture and thus they love to tell you how smart Kendrick's music is and how dumb you are for not understanding that.

That may be true or not, I'm just setting some context. Even if we accept those things as true, none of that sounds like a great idea for a Super Bowl halftime show. None of those things scream "entertaining" nor "mass appeal" which I think are your starters for Super Bowl consideration. Moreover, rap, as a genre, isn't good live by default. So take away the fun theatrics and the fun guests and collaborations, and you have a pretty boring SB halftime show even if you think Lamar has merit as an artist.

We had Gen Alpha all the way up to Boomer at my house. We all hated it.

Also, these dumb fricks that love to say Boomer call members of Gen X boomers all the time.

How many tickets to the game did the Urban Enthusiasts buy? The money people should be the ones entertained. They are the ones that spent thousands to be there, but let's bow to the culture because the NFL is 80 percent black.
