We got us a criminal in here downvoting anything about defending your property.

Like it or not, it is NOT legal to shoot someone breaking into your vehicle unless you are IN the vehicle.
Do we have any information or any evidence of what actually occurred here?
Two ARMED guys were on his property breaking into his car. Maybe he didn't know what the frick was going on, but just heard people DOING SOMETHING on his property. Goes grab his gun before going see what the frick is up - perfectly within his rights.
Who's to say they didn't go for their guns when he comes out the door? Boom. Justified shooting in self defense.

Gets real gray if there is a loaded firearm in said vehicle and you catch them in the act.

There should be a law against driving without a license!

What percent of NOLA murders are even solved? Old boy should have just went out of town, denied everything and not come back until the residue is off his hands. Dispose of the gun and if the bullet can be traced back, say they stole it out the car and accidentally shot himself.
Too convoluted, shoot the perp dead, get rid of the gun, pick up your casings, say you left the gun in the car but heard arguing outside before the shots were fired, NOPD will never follow up on it.

This happened in another state, guy went out to yell at some young thus breaking in his car and they shot him dead. if he came out guns blazing he would be alive today and his killer would be dead.
frick the law, it protects criminals. Now it's judge by 12 or carried by 6, those are your options.

Every Progressive voter is smiling ear to ear. Another future Democrat voter that can terrorize the citizenry, while someone defending their property is jailed.
LaToya will be thrilled with this news as well.

Another reason why I left Nola. Some black teens with guns tries to rob you, better off just letting them kill you.

Homie refused to say who shot the teens as they were on the street. He also hid the rifle he used to do it from the cops.
That’s going to raise eyebrows.

I think the fact that he seems to have hidden the rifle does not help him.

Did he not claim they pointed a gun at him?
If not, he should've

14 year old stealing cars? Boy, his Dad is gonna be pissed.

The criminal justice system can not continually fail in catching and prosecuting criminals, but then start prosecuting citizens that protect their own life and property.

What would the bond be if the car thieves had shot at him?
I suspect much lower.

Will the victim do more time than the perp?

Loaded firearms being in the vehicle definitely change this.
