I love the de-escalation stuff that is always talked about.

The truth is that there are just people who aren’t gonna give up and aren’t gonna listen to anyone.

I know that’s hard to believe but if you give people a chance to do stupid and evil crap and then have someone unarmed showed up and try to talk them down after a chase or hostage situation, instead of shooting at police, the unarmed person is gonna get shot cause police to shoot anyway.

My opinion is that once it gets to that point and you shoot at police, i don’t care it the shoot you with a ground to air missle. You earned that one!

I've never been to San Francisco, but I'm pretty sure I hate the frick out of that city.

It sounds like the polar opposite of the rest of America.

I don’t see the issue here. Don’t shoot at the police, and you probably won’t die.

It began when two people reported being robbed at gunpoint by the occupants of a black Honda Civic.

How to not get killed:

quote:

officers begin yelling at the driver, identified as 19-year-old Victor Navarro Flores, to exit the vehicle. He eventually does, and is detained.

How to get killed:

quote:

Officers then turned their attention to Delgado-Duarte, who was lying in the Honda’s trunk with the lid ajar. Officers yell at him in English and in Spanish; he doesn’t leave the trunk. According to police, an officer fired a beanbag round at Delgado-Duarte, and then Delgado-Duarte fired a gun from inside the trunk. That’s when officers fired their weapons, killing him.

How to not get killed part 2:

quote:

After the shooting, an 18-year-old woman who was still inside the car was ordered out and detained. She was apparently uninjured.

The two survivors "deescalated" their own situation. The guy shooting at cops had his situation "deescalated" for him.

There was a shooting like this in Jefferson Parish once. The chase started in New Orleans and ended with JP cops shooting the car like 100 times because they deemed it as a weapon when the kid put it in reverse.
Harry Lee was quoted something like “well don’t come to Jefferson Parish with your criminal activity”
I’m probably a little off on the quote, but Harry Lee was a boss.

Yes they did and they did absolutely nothing wrong . The amount of shots fired is totally irrelevant to the situation. The perp was obviously hiding from a armed robbery he had committed earlier then he tries to shoot the police . If that were my son or brother in that trunk I damn sure wouldn't be blaming the police for anything. I would be devastated that a family member of mine made such stupid decisions.

I mean the cops did shoot first....how did he know it was a bean bag round? I’m not sure why they even did that. Seems like they were provoking him to shoot back.

That being said I’m glad we won’t be wasting jail space on this piece of shite.

Found the link.

JPSO fires over 100 rounds

Harry took out a full page ad in the paper contesting a Rev’s words about JPSO using the black kid as target practice.
I need to find that open letter.

For a rational person yes. Clearly this individual was not.

Why couldn't they just shoot him 99 times in the leg or something

The only thing that bothers me about this story is that they didn't fire off an even 100 rounds. For some reason, the number 99 bothers me.
