I am of the opinion that he was putting something down. Can’t tell what it is,but his arm comes out and then down. He yells “ you told me. “. And they shot him some more. The female cop is panicked and has lost her cool and I think her sense of reason. That’s from the angle I’m looking at.

Yeah that one seemed like they were intentionally giving him orders that were difficult so he would make a strong move and they could cap him.

Tbh, this is what I thought, too. It’s hard to see exactly what his hands were doing, though. The man obviously had a gun, but I’m not convinced he wasn’t going to surrender.
ETA: The police were called because he was threatening people with the gun. Not saying he deserved to die, but he should not have done that to begin with.

Or he was in the process of raising the gun to point it at the guy in front of him? If that was the case, they waited as long as they could.
I'm assuming the gun was in his right hand, but I couldn't tell from the video.

Exactly, apparently several here had a better view from that shitty video then the 6 police officers on scene. It was in his right hand and again, it takes less than half a second to point a pistol into the direction of either the passenger, or LEOs and start spraying bullets. Jesus some of you are stupid. Let’s give the benefit of doubt to the douche that threatened multiple people and was told numerous times to drop (not put down) the gun. Damn it’s not hard guys

He was told about 58 times to put it down. You're making a lot of assumptions here and his behavior doesn't earn him the benefit of the doubt.

Exactly.
If he was shot after they said "drop the gun" 1 or 2 times, okay maybe. But he had a deadly weapon and was told to drop it repeatedly for nearly a full minute. You lose the benefit of the doubt there.

Maybe an LEO can calrify this, but why didn’t they command him to lay down with his hands on his head? Commanding him to put the gun down means he has to reach for it, unless he already had it in his, but I couldn’t clearly see his hands in the video. It appeared to be in his jacket.
