I'm kicking around the idea of buying a "budget" bay boat. Blows my mind that a decently rigged Xpress goes for $70K at a dealer now

My brother's FIL owned a boat dealer and during 2022 his BONUS from the manufacturer was $3.5 million dollars. The profits on boats are astronomical. It's amazing what people will pay for a boat

Mastercrafts and Nautiques have always carried a premium price. They also come with all the bells whistles builders can pack in, not unlike cars. Power retractable & extendable towers, power wake plates for surfing, under floor ballast systems with pumps & dash controls, premium vinyl, integrated board racks & sunshades, sound systems, etc.

Worth it? Up to the buyer. Some buyers pay for the premium name/reputation.

There are more ‘bugdet’ brands but even those builders saw the money being thrown around and they aren’t cheap either.

They lie. Boats cost more than when I bought my 2021 23ft Sea Pro for 75k....that same fricking boat is 90k now....

I had no idea boats were priced so high.

$100,000 for a 25 year old 32’ fishing boat?

WTF?

Yeah. The wake boat prices for inferior products is mind blowing.

BUT, if they get their enjoyment on them, good deal!

I’d seriously consider this:

It’s not a contender, yellowfin, regulator, etc, but it is a damn solid middle tier.

Btw, those dudes going beyond 300s need to realize the high HPs are race tuned and prone to being finicky.

Saw these boats in Maine. Had to bring his little boat to run around in. Pretty crazy the life some people live.

Point stands. That is a purely recreational small vessel. How is that worth as much as something like this?

I have to say I would not be interested in anything with a displacement hull unless it was at least 60'.

Ask Jeff Landry about having friends with multiple boats, yachts, jet:s, planes, helicopters, ranches, 2nd and 3rd homes, etc.

The problem is you’d have to suck Shane Guidrys dick

I had two colleagues buy boats around COVID. One bought a $110k bay boat for fishing and the other bought a ski boat for $230k. Madness.

Yeah people that say things like Yammy and T-Tops are gay can’t afford the 300hp Yammy much less the Blackjack.

I don’t think people who say this really understand “write offs.”
