I'm looking for recommendations. Since it's prime day I'm considering a new bluetooth speaker. I've had a bose soundlink flex for about 5 years now and it has been awesome but the battery life is starting to fade. I might get another one of those unless y'all can recommend something better.

I own two of these. They sound great, get very loud, and are basically indestructible.

ETA: JBL speakers have this really cool feature that allows you to sync your speakers together via bluetooth, which gives you the ability to play the same thing on multiple devices in different areas. It rocks.

JBL Flip

JBL Charge 5 has been winning all the comparisons on YouTube, etc.

JBL Charge 6s are about 160 at walmart. They have massive battery life, and they will charge your phone.

Seconded. I've had one for maybe 3 years now, and it's significantly better than any that I've had before in a similar price range.

The little JBL clip has worked well for me the last few years. Doesn’t get super loud, but gets loud enough.

I was gifted a Beats Pill speaker and it does the job. I use it outside and love the sound. It probably came from Target. Only downside is there is no manual EQ.

Get an Ultimate Ears Boom 4 and then add a WonderBoom 4 and you'll have two great speakers. A close second is the Sony XB100. The XB100 is so convenient, durable and sounds great for a small speaker. And, you can strap it on just about anything and listen while you're riding, biking or walking somewhere. I do really like the Ultimate Ears stuff because you can link them all together through their app and have sound steaming to all of the speakers simultaneously coming from one source.

I have a JBL Flip 7 and it performs really well and it was just under $100. Well worth it imo

JBL has been top notch at least since the 80's.

Yep. Back in the 90s I had a bad arse CD boom box from JBL that was amazing. Brought it to the beach countless times and no matter how much sand got in it was fine. ;) However, I think I went broke buying D batteries.

Now I link my Charge and Flip together and the sound is great. Long battery life too.
